Wow, explosion between MJ and Tommy last week, but all good now. Explosion between GG and Shalom, but suddenly engaged. Okay then.

Loved the comment "She went from DEFCON 4 to engaged".

Lol'd at Mike wanting to know what the ring was worth!

I missed something...where/how are they getting this personal concierge service?

I'm thinking that this show will not be renewed. It started out well but no amount of GG or MJ drama will give us what we really want to know. How is Asa's life with the Jackson family?

Did anyone care about the fight between GG and Shlong?  Me neither.  I think they should get married.  Seems like the smart thing to do.  These people are exhausting.

Something tells me that Shalom planned/staged that fight to ask GG to marry him without the others around. I don't think he could have pulled that all together in the hour between leaving the house and asking her, he preplanned it. Which explains why he wouldn't really answer anyone's questions and that he refused to actually fight with GG. LOL

Mike was cracking me up with his commentary!

The both of them are crazy so it is a match (paraphrasing) really cracked me up. I did not understand that at all! I would have run if I was GG.

Not really feeling that ring.

So the rabbi asks Reza about the values he wants a child to have, and the first thing he comes up with is "reducing your carbon footprint*"? Figures, LOL

* Not knocking being a good global citizen, just laughing that THAT was the first thing that came to Reza's mind. Not kindness, not being a welcoming and open person, not wisdom... carbon footprints.

The "concierge" did not know how to pour champagne and MJ can't even spell sobriety.

Mike you were cheating on Jessica throughout your relationship, so shut the fuck up.

A lot of the scenes with Shalom seemed fake but I would run screaming from Reza trying to get to know me.

Adam and GG are sweet together.

Hate to say it, but I've sorely missed Asa these past several episodes. She may have her own faults, but she still lent a sense of space hippie-dippy peacefulness in the midst of all their ongoing dramas. Whether it was her art or fashion or whatever else little creative adventures she was pursuing, it kinda lent a sense of whimsy that this show needs. Plus, she usually offered a lot of the Persian food porn.

If she's off the show for good after this season, I'm checking out. Hell, I missed the last few episodes and hated them both upon rewatch. These people are all so awful.

This show has gone from being compelling to annoyingly predictable. The multiple stabs at various careers bugs the crap out of me...I'm an actress! I'm a shoe designer! I'm a playwright! I'm a caftan designer! I'm a photographer! I'm a video artist! I'm a stand-up comic! It's like they are playing aspirational Mad Libs. They have just enough clout (or the production company does) to be able to indulge their fantasies and then move on. This, plus the manufactured inter-Shah drama = yawn.

I need to know: was Shalom's little hissy real or an act just to throw GG off the scent of the proposal? Also, so we know that they got married and divorced/annulled, but from GG's Instagram it looks like they're back together again??? Oy (no pun intended).

GG was on WWHL last night and said they are "dating" but not living together.

I think all of us would like this show a lot more if they brought on food porn. Remember those sumptuous spreads they used to put out for each other when they had someone come visiting? The tables were laden with many dishes of apricots, nuts, dips, cheeses, and crackers etc. That was even before the main courses. I'd even tolerate getting a cooking lesson for their rice dish. Alas, I don't want to see it in MJ's dirty (nonexistent) kitchen. Do any of them (besides I'm sure Asa or her Mom whom only want the best for the baby) still cook or entertain? If I want to see people going out than I can go out and people watch.

Shalom's ranting, yelling, and overall foolishness had me staring at the TV in utter shock. And then for the rest of the Shahs to keep saying, "I like him.", "He's good for GG.", "She finally got a good one.", "He's hot." (Reza is blind) made it a hundred times worse. A part of me wanted to be like, why aren't any of you telling him to leave if he wants to go so badly/telling GG how horrible he is and that he's bound to get worse, but I imagine like many of us, they've been the messengers who got shot. All that ranting an raving -- get the fuck out, then! Go to the airport! Go back to your family!

Never have I ever identified more with Mike during the next morning when GG proudly showed off her (extremely tacky) ring and all he could do was congratulate her and walk off muttering, "This is interesting." Like, what can you really even say to all of that?

GG needs to love herself.

Note to the editors: Please stop showing us MJ's disgusting feet. I'm thisclose to lodging a complaint.

I do suspect that the fight was to get GG off camera, away from the others so that he could propose in private.  They are still legally married, although she filed for separation/divorce she didn't follow through with the divorce, they are dating again.

I think you are on to something about the food.... most of the housewives  don't let a morsel pass their lips.  Probably why they are so cranky.   Perhaps if they  all stopped drinking so much, they would be  lot more pleasant to be around.  I would like to add I would like it a lot more if Reza stopped using the B word as if it was water and clean up his mouth and if MJ would wash her feet once in a while.    Run Tommy Run

When did it become cool to show middle fingers on basic cable? I mean, I personally don't give a fuck (lol), but I seem to recall vintage Real Worlders using that as a way to ruin footage and prevent it from airing.

Good Gordon, what a sad state of affairs when we are all whining and caring about the FOOD PORN only and could do without each and every cast member.  I say MORE FOOD PORN please!  Oh yes, and the way that female concierge was incorrectly pouring the champagne was a true sin indeed.

Do you get the idea that she was included to bring some Jackson-family into it, and she couldn't/wouldn't, so it went south?

Probably, @Adultosaurus. Although she had managed to get her guy on there for a short explanatory scene during her second season, as well as getting Latoya and Paris to show up to a few shindigs, so it's not like they all completely bailed on filming with her.

I really thought GG's ring was fake.  How much do we think that ring cost given the stone is a good quality and maybe it's 3 carats let alone the setting.  It's really unattractive.  What does Shalom do for a living?

Of course, this was him last season.  He didn't want Jessica to talk about him cheating, not because he felt bad but because of how he looked....his ego was more important than his wife's feelings.

I don't believe Asa was with Jermaine in season 1. I believe she was still dating Shaahin Cheyene. I believe they split as season 1 was filming.

If you notice, Shaahin only asked for a correction to article (that he and Asa we're never married) only after the show began airing, almost 5 years after it was published.

Most articles state that she has been with Jermaine since 2010. Including this article from 2012 which would be before Shahs started. That also checks because Cheyene isn't press shy and would probably jump at the chance to be on the show.

Is she worthy of a great guy though? She's a 33-year-old woman who has never worked a regular job a day in her life, is prone to violent outbursts and is more than likely a functioning alcoholic! I tip my hat to any man who would be willing to put up with that hot mess over any period of time!

I've noticed cable networks' standards and practices have become more lax. I was surprised when I heard the word bullshit uttered by one of the teens on The Fosters on what was formerly the ABC Family channel.

Right now IRL I don think she's ready for a good man. She's just post divorce and does need to try on the shoes on a grown ass woman. She needs to take care of herself. Get a career. Something on which to build a good reputation and improve her self esteem. Confidence from accomplishments. She may get a Bravo paycheck now, but that isn't going to last forever.

Just do a search for Persian rice and a ton of recipes pop up.  Iranian jeweled rice is one version that comes up.  Dill rice is another.  Tah dig/tahdig gets you the one with the crust.

Maybe I am the only one but I didn't Shalom as a horrible guy. I do believe that it is often very hard for a woman and man to understand each other though. I think that GG is used to dating beta men who would cheer her on for starring in a play where she makes out with another guy. However, that doesnt fly with Shalom, he doesnt want another man (even a gay one) kissing his girlfriend even for a job. A lot of women are only attracted to men who are dominant, but don't realize what usually comes with that (possessiveness, bossiness etc. ), because "alpha-males" typically do not accept another man touching/doing anything with their woman. Shalom's continual outburst was funny to watch and it would have really been better if he had just silently walked out and never came back, because honestly I think he needs a different type of woman, not the kind who would tell him to get up and fight her.

MJ gave the best advice that I thought could ever come from her, to make herself more vulnerable to him, and basically say what he needs to hear.

I am not sure exactly why Shalom is with GG other than some publicity. What does he do fora living ? Maybe that will explain something.

Serious Question---Why is Tommy such a good guy? He drinks like a fish, just like she does. He's crude. He's super low class. He lives in that garbage heap just like she does. He could clean it up! But he doesn't. He's OK with people writing on his walls. I think he's just a big a pig as MJ and something tells me they both smell because they don't bath.

For reasons unknown to me, Cheyene is still included in Asa's bio for the show on Wikipedia, which is why I assumed that they broke up while filming season 1.

I think Tommy is a good guy because he stands up to MJ and more importantly Vida. We know that he's not ok with Vida belittling and denigrating MJ the way Vida is so prone to doing. That makes him a good guy in my book. He's not perfect, but he's in MJ's corner. He's the best guy we've seen her with.

To be honest, that jewelry store run by Mike's friend looked barely one step above a man on a street corner selling things hidden under his trenchcoat.
