Oh wow.  Poor chicken laid an egg.  He should have performed by himself.

what happened with the chickens? i wonder if those woman ate them.

puddles was the best singer not the ed sheeran wannabe.

wtf mirror image twins go through? is there a complaint line? i had to mute my tv during the twins performance.

more acts on tonight that i never saw.

i think there's something inappropriate about that salsa woman spinning near her brothers crotch. And next week is that incestual roller skating brother and sister.

I thought DJ Khaled was a great guest judge. He wasn't trying to steal the show but commented at just the right time.

I was surprised "Mirror Image" made it to the next round but couldn't help to think they would be perfect for a movie role.

Sometimes being a fan of this show, is incredibly frustrating.

Khaled's GB kid: Are you kidding? He's beyond terrible.

Mirror Image: Hate with the passion of 1000 fiery suns. Who do they have compromising photos of?

Junior & Emily: That routine was garbage. None of the dance acts tonight minus the Quiddlers should've gone through.

Mentalist guy: Seriously off-putting. The guy with the card and book trick was better.

Evie: Okay, but too young. I liked watching her watch that Dakota kid perform. Instant puberty!

Happy for Puddles I guess. And if you get the pimp spot you are probably not getting the GB, but you are getting one of the other six spots. She's another non entity for me...

Felt bad for the kid band. The dreaded double montage. Also felt bad for the Mongolian strong man and four man balance act. One of two should have made it.

I wasn't paying a lot of attention, so I wasn't sure with the Mirror twins started it was them. They weren't doing too bad until they decided to break out into their dancing. I could have done without that. They aren't great, aren't going to win (I hope!) but they were ok with California Dreamin' until they danced. As for them winning, I'll choose Sara and Hero over them.

Wow, so disgusted by tonight's show. Yet another completely mediocre singer gets a golden buzzer. I guess the guest judges feel they have to give their GB to a singer.

The two girls who got put through in the last judging segment were both so boring I changed the channel during their acts. (Hate that we see all the singer's performances, but almost everyone else is montaged or gets about 40 seconds). Puddles also bored me tonight. He's a good singer but not a great singer, and the whole sad singing clown bit was for me a one-time joke. I did not need to see it again. And again.

And Mirror Image? Are you freakin' kidding me? They're like a Gong Show act. Their singing and dancing (if you can call it that) are high school talent show level.

Counting Puddles and Mirror Image as singers, 5 out of tonight's 7 spots went to singers. And not one of them is remotely special. I really believe that people watch this show to see the variety acts, but maybe because Simon Cowell made his fortune on American Idol, they keep shoving these mediocre (or juvenile) singers down our throats.

I did think that the brother-sister salsa duo were better the first time, but was just happy to see a non-singing act go through. From the very short clip we saw, the comedian who did the routine about the answering machine was pretty funny. I thought he and the magician who did the trick with the torn out page both deserved to go through.

The most entertaining act of the night for me was The Quiddlers. That showed way more originality than any of the singers. And that young guy from Miami (I believe his name was Samuel) sang circles around any of the singers who went through., While dancing way better than Mirror Image. That kind of music is not my thing, but if the show is called America's Got Talent, his talent was off the charts. But he's not a young, cute blonde girl, so sorry dude.

Thoroughly disgusted.

I completely agree. Terrible song choice, it did nothing to showcase his voice.

Seriously with those obnoxious twins?!?  Their singing is mediocre at best, their dancing is clearly a bad joke and their personalities make me want to beat them with a bag of oranges.  Plus they look like this bizarre cross of Andy Kaufman and Perez Hilton, and I hate them beyond words.

I also hate Puddles.  I don't have clown issues, but he really does creep me out.

And I agree that DJ Khaled did a good job guest judging.  I'm too old to be that familiar with him, but he seemed like such a nice guy.

All of this.  I don't like hating on kids, but they are the perfect example of mediocre children being told they're special their whole lives and walking around like they are gods.  I don't understand AT ALL why they were put through.  It's like Simon was the only one that didn't drink the kool-aid on the judging panel!

Otherwise, yeah.  Meh.  Although, unlike others, I like Adele jr.  I think she's a lot better than the other golden buzzer singers.

So, personal story.  DJ Khaled's song "All I Do is Win" was my daughter's and my theme song for the last two years of her all-star cheer.  First it started as sort of a joke, but then they kept winning so we played the song every time they won as a tradition.  Cheer is over and she's away at college so I started tearing up when the song played.  Lol.  I doubt anyone else started crying from sentimentality reasons over that song.

I think the mirror twins seem like nice guys - yes, they're extra and I wouldn't want to hang out with them IRL, but I feel that way about a lot of people - but they really shouldn't have gone through based on talent.

Now that the chickens are gone *sniff* my new favorite act is The Quiddlers.  At least they put a smile on your face.  I also liked the young Miami guy.  I loved disco back in the day and he reminds me of Sylvester (RIP).

Do the kids in Mirror Mirror remind anyone else of Sue Heck's friend Brad on The Middle?  That's all I could see during their act.

Yes!!  Except Brad can be lovable.  These kids are really annoying.  Whenever they are on stage I think about annoying theater kids with unrealistic Broadway ambitions.  I also think they have watched too many episodes of Glee.

My favorite group is the Cirque du Soliel type act that had the rocking ark piece of equipment.  I can't wait to see them again.

I am so sick of singers.  I got bored and fast-forwarded through every one of them except Puddles. While clowns usually creep me out, he's okay.  I was sorry for all the magicians who got cut. Also, some of the strong men acts looked so very sad when they were cut, I just wanted to hug them. I am mega bummed that the chicken act didn't work.  I wanted to hear the duet.  Oh well, I wonder if Reptile Gardens in South Dakota still has the piano playing chickens like they did when I was a little kid?  I loved them! I remember them better than any of the reptiles.

I haven't watched this episode yet (I wait for the Friday-night rerun), but Puddles' audio was played on the radio this morning with DJs commenting he is all the rage online right now, like he's the Next Best Thing. So, he's being pimped outside AGT. Sorry to know the Douche Brothers will be going to next round. Time for me to channel surf when they appear on my tv screen.

So disappointed in the selections.   Mirror Image?  Are we kidding?  Hate Puddles.  His voice is okay, but the whole clown singing sad songs is just incredibly irritating.  The salsa duo?  Really?  There was no dancing in their dance - it was all her spinning.  And then to say that the other group upped their game while the salsa duo was better the first time, but they're putting through the salsa duo?  I can't even with that.  The comedian was funny but didn't get put through?  The magician didn't make it either?  So that we could get the crappy acts we got?  Ugh.  Ugh.  Ugh.

Totally agree!! Mediocre. I am sooooooooo sick of "talk singing". I don't know how else to describe it, but I HATE it. I don't mean rap, I mean when there's literally little to no melody. If you can't SING, don't.

I can NOT believe the Quiddlers got cut!!! They did show a lot of creativity and originality.

Count me in with the disgusted group.

Did they put some acts through just to be cannon fodder, to stack the deck in favor of their preferred acts?

Just so you guys know, the Quiddlers currently appear in not one, but two Strip shows.

Too many singers! I feel like I say this every week. I liked the Quiddlers a lot, too. Singing Trump gets through but they don't? I don't get it.

The mentalist was much improved, I wasn't impressed with him before. I liked the magician. I was really entertained by the flaming log guy. Hated the twins. Could care less about the last girl not going to prom. You have a good voice, go on a singing show. I would've liked to have seen the comedian's entire set not a montage.

Last week seemed so stacked, this week seemed like a lot of fodder.

Season 12 of X Factor continues stronger than ever as we saw the judges graced by superstar after superstar ready to take the world of pop music by storm. They even let through a weird homeless man who licks hands and didn't sing a single note. HAVE THE JUDGES FINALLY LOST THEIR MINDS? Tune in next week to find out more. Only on NBC! Dunkin Donuts are the best!!

7. Mirror Image - It's like someone crossed jar jar binks with the "HI HI IT'S TY TY" segment after each youtube video and turned it into a person. AND THEN ANOTHER ONE. They were...better than last time? Is this the first time an act that has gotten buzzed by someone actually makes it through the judges cut?

6. Evie Clair - Can I just post a picture of Puddles looking sad as my review for each of these? Because that's exactly how I felt segment after segment. She continues to be a sweet kid, but the way the show is handling her story is INSUFFERABLE. It's everything wrong with shows like this. At least you can make some excuse for most of the other sob stories having SOMETHING to do with the act itself, not here. Here it's just an excuse to give a fairly average singer a story so everyone can cry at home and feel bad if she doesn't make it.

5. Junior and Emily - You spin me right round, baby. Right round like a record, baby...Imagine that song on a loop, because it's apparently all we are going to get from these 2 for now. It really isn't a good sign when an act runs out of material THIS early, but there is at least a glimmer of hope they can improve next time round...

4. Chase Goehring - Chase is a victim of my growing annoyance with singers on this show, but I'll at least give him credit for coming up with an original song. But he is just another young heartthrob with an accoustic guitar, a pretty decent one but still something we have seen thousands of times now. And it's yet another golden buzzer spent on an X-Factor reject (not an insult, he actually did get booted off that show) they can praise to high heaven and do the whole nauseating "You are gonna be a superstar, watch out Ed Sheeran" speech. It feels like we are being sold stuff they THINK should be popular and I guess they are right because as of now the guy already has over 100k followers on twitter so he's going to be a force to be reckoned with as soon as it's voting time.

3. Yoli Mayor - Yeah I wasn't too impressed the first time around we saw her, but she definitely left an impression this time around. She just needs a bit of work with her stage presence and as much as I find her voice to be really really good, she didn't quite manage to captivate me yet. I feel like she needs time to really grow and this show really doesn't allow singers to do that, but maybe she can impress even more next time...

2. Colin Cloud - I can't help but like Colin and his charming brand of magic/mentalism. He manages to escape the "sleazy salesman" (Hey Oz) hole a lot of other mentalists fall into and for once the "criminal profiler" backstory isn't just bullshit, it's an integral part in some of his tricks. It's hard to really analyse what he did here (besides the obvious phone trick) because the show edited out certain parts to make the act quicker, but the way he toys with people and uses information is amusing and clever. It annoys me that so many commenters genuinely believe he has some sort of a superpower and can actually read minds, when even Colin himself mentions how he is NOT psychic. The fact there's a certain subset of people out there that would actually be angry if they found out he is just tricking people is genuinely scary, but I guess it's part of why these acts do so well each year with the voters.

1. Puddles Pity Party - I knew of Puddles before this show, but never really delved any deeper than a video or two. I have now and honestly I'm kind of obsessed. I just love what he does. Let it never be said I'm against singers on this show, because as of now Puddles is one of my favourites.

Yeah, definitely NOT a vintage episode...It started off with Simon saying "What I'm looking for is genuine improvement in an act, for them to take it to the next level" and by the end of the episode he seemed determined to prove himself wrong at all cost. Mirror Image got buzzed, Junior and Emily were a disappointment for everyone involved, Evie got called out for her wrong notes...none of it seemed to matter in the end as we waved goodbye to a ton of montaged acts who got standing ovations and praise to make room for...mediocrity

Kyle got edited down to...nothingness and poor Xavier, second time now he's made it to the judges cut only to be left out of the live shows despite a really fun and clever performance. It might have echoed Tony and Jordan at times, but surely if there's room for 5 female pop singers, there's also room for more than 1 magic act that uses screens. Ugh.

Thankfully next week is shaping up to be much more interesting with Bello Nock, the Englands, Daniel Ferguson, Diavolo, Mike Yung. Preacher Lawson and Shemika all being deserving quarter-finalists and 6 more acts to be revealed. This probably means that at least 1 or 2 of the above will be unfairly cut. But hey, at least we got...mirror image.

This honestly might be the worst episode of AGT I've ever seen. This season is horrible in general, but this was just... wow.

Why in the world did the dancing siblings get put through? Before their act they were talking about how they had new moves, and then it was just more spinning, this time to a terrible song. The judges were beyond disappointed. But then they made it through because of some BS about how they have the potential to step it up next time. Uh... how about you put through an act that did well and actually did step it up? Absolute nonsense.

Okay, look, I find the Mirror Image guys amusing, but the act is not worthy of moving on, especially not over some of the people who got cut. Their singing is not good (though it was better than last time) and the dancing is not good either, and seems to be the same moves every time. Come on.

Evie is terrible. She was terrible the first time. She was terrible this time. I was stunned when she made it through. I'm sorry your dad has cancer, but you're not a very good singer, and you shouldn't be on this show.

WTF at the golden buzzer? That made no sense. Why are they acting like he's the best thing ever? At least he writes his own songs I guess.

All the good acts (you know, the variety/non-singing acts) got montaged. I wanted to see Xavier's act, it looked really cool and the judges seemed impressed. But nope, montaged and he got cut. The Godfathers looked cool too. Montaged. Anything that's not a mediocre singer - montaged.

I'm pretty over mentalists but at least Colin Cloud has good stage presence and an interesting persona and was actually deserving of going through. Same with Puddles I guess. Everyone else who went through could've gotten eliminated and I wouldn't have cared.

This show has really gone down the drain since Simon became a judge. Next week's lineup looks good but it's hard to get excited when I know all the acts I care about will probably be montaged.

I echo what you're all saying. How did the guy swinging the log around, turning Howie and Heidi into a helicopter, get sent home, but the Most Annoying Twins In The World (not to mention seriously creepy!) got put through!?

I'm glad that the mentalist was sent to live rounds. I'd love to know how he's performing some of those tricks! Also curious how the card-trick magician did his thing with the book and the card -- and disappointed we get more kid singers, and fewer people who have actually learned and perfected a craft.

It would have been nice to see some of the more interesting acts they determined were only worthy of being montaged. With all the singing competitions on TV (and how many of these people have failed on them), it's almost unfair how many singers get put through on this one.

Wow, what another lousy episode of AGT! Only two acts that went through I agree with.

7. Mirror Image - They don't have bad voices in my opinion, but their dancing is awful. I do think that they are trying to be funny. They know that they can't dance and that's their routine. It has to be! they shouldn't have gone through.

6. Junior & Emily - Nothing they did was any different than the last time. What was funny is that they said that they had upped their game and put in some new moves. Oh yeah? Really? They should be spinning all the way home!

5. Evie Clair - My prayers going to her dad! Hope there is a miracle and he recovers. Evie should not have made the cut! Plain and simple.

4. Chase Goehring - I thought he was doing ok in the first part of the song, then he broke out into what I don't know! He was talk singing or something. That was TERRIBLE!!! That talking deserved a big red X!

3. Puddles - This guy is smart. I have to give him that. I don't think he's interesting enough to look him up in YouTube, but dressing up like a clown and then coming out with a pretty good voice is a strong move. People are confused as to why he dresses like a clown, doesn't speak, but sings pretty good! Without the clown suit he would be just another dude with a voice, a good one at that. Is he Top Dog worthy? I'm putting on my Clown Frown and say...NO!

2. Yoli Mayor - Now we're starting to go places with Yoli. She has a great voice and should be in the running pretty deep in the show. Her first audition was all scripted but she still did a hell of a job. Unlike Evie, Yoli deserved to go through.

1. Colin Cloud - I thought he was great and was the most "interesting man of the night....stay thirsty my friends", oh just kidding..lol! Really, he was the best out there. I don't know how he did those tricks and I don't want to know. I don't really like anything with cell phones though.

Just pointing out something about the judges decisions. I know I've been guilty of saying that a certain performance has put a smile on my face even though that act may not deserve to advance. I've read other posters say the same thing. Sara and Hero comes to mind. They put smiles on peoples faces so they want them to win is an example. Well, can we fault the judges for putting through horrible acts? Because that's how they're probably judging them. If so and so puts a smile on their faces or makes them feel fuzzy inside, they're going to put them through!

My wish for next season is MelB, Tyra Banks, and Simon Cowell be gone! Maybe Simon will step down and bring back P. Morgan!

Until next time....

I guess I'm Old School to still think that it's simply a matter of the judges being in on it.  Will delve into it further and report back.  Still can't help but love Puddles.  It takes a creative mind to  have come up with that act.

UPDATE:  Watch this video at your own risk.  It is an explanation (possibly) of how Colin Cloud did the tricks.

Since the show is taped, we don't know what order they went in.   Only the judges are deciding and going last wouldn't really be any advantage at all.   Not that going last has really be proven with the audience voting is any big advantage. Sounds like something being repeated and everyone believes it.

Pathetic groupings again led to absurd choices.  Any of the magicians were miles better than any of the singers.  At least Puddles has the bathos shtick going for him.  And I do genuinely feel horribly for the girl whose dad is likely soon a goner.  :(

I'd bet anything that the family band killed it as he energy we saw in the scant few seconds we were allowed to see was tremendous.  But nooooooooo...we need breathless singers who couldn't sing more than two octaves if their lives depended upon it.  If a singer was to be put through no matter what, I'd have gone with the dude who could WAIL.

I will bet a little that there will be at least one, and probably two, acts who are asked back, including a magician.  The overall quality of acts in this ep was far better than Cut One.

As for the twins, I blame the chickens.  If they had just done their dang jobs, they would be the duo who would have gone through!

Parker, I take your point but I was looking at it from the TV watcher's perspective. Since AGT went to this Judge Cuts format the last couple of seasons how many times has the final act shown on TV been an act that ended up getting cut or a Golden Buzzer winner? Maybe once?

Not sure the status of Wildcards this season, but I could maybe see the Quiddlers getting a slot in the next round as a WC...

Finally saw the whole show. I'd rather see those two chickens stand around on bales of hay for an hour than those two Douche Brothers for one minute. I couldn't dislike them more, everything about them is obnoxious. And the spinning "salsa" dancers? Please. Tell them not to spin and that'll cut their act down to ... well, down to nothing. I did see several acts get cut that I had never seen before ... and never saw tonight, either. The heck.

Pretty sure that the poster was referring to Las Vegas strip shows.  However, I think that if the Quiddlers showed up at a gentleman's club strip show the guys would love it.  I could see them performing between the girls' acts.

Was it just me, or were the intro packages even longer than usual this episode? I didn't time any of them but yeesh they went on for minutes. I hate that we have to hear some dumb story about a girl not getting the lead in a high school play while genuinely interesting-looking acts get montaged.

Look at Sammulous...didn't make it through and still got a massive intro package. I wish he had gone through though, if we have to have singers, he was easily the best of the night.

At least the Quiddlers have their Vegas shows to fall back on, but they're great and I miss them already.

Junior and Emily...what the heck? The judges all agreed they completely dropped the ball and they get sent through because they have the "potential" to step it up more? Whatever, man. They'll swiftly be eliminated in the quarter finals.

Mirror Image, my white whale. I don't think I've ever hated an act on this show as much as I hate them. It's like watching the obnoxious kid in your theater class who's pretty mediocre but too up his own butt to notice still somehow become successful...except it's worse because there's two of them! If your act was likely cobbled together in your bedroom the night before, you should not be on this show.

Obligatory "I feel bad for Evie Clare and her family" but what kind of family who's going through something like that decides that the perfect solution is to start shoving their preteen in front of cameras?Yikes, don't y'all wanna just spend your time with one another?

My parents got divorced when I was three and no one asked me to junior or senior prom...can I get an express ticket to a million dollars now?

This episode truly was the worst in recent memory.

There are no strip clubs on the actual Strip. Pretty sure that's by law. There are still some topless revues however, if you require your nudity to have some class.

The Quiddlers are part of Vegas! the Show and V-The Ultimate Variety Show.  Note the other AGT acts in the lineup. You see some repeats because they share the same theater. Oh, and the Popovitch Pet Circus from way back on season one also performs in that venue.

I'm not a grouch, but I honestly don't understand all the Quiddler love.  That act was in my high school's skit night and would make appearances in camp skit nights too, over 30 years ago.  Of course, it was on a lower-scale budget, with just people sticking their heads through a hole in a sheet used as curtain and their arms through other holes to be dressed up as the legs. Still like the Quiddlers better than 95% of the singers though.
