Quotes: As God is my witness...

Recommended Posts

The classic radio spots: "Red Wigglers, the Cadillac of Worms!" and of course the Ferryman Funeral Home jingle: "You know you can't deny it, someday you're gonna buy it"

Hirsch, addressing Mrs. Carlson: "You bellowed, Madame?"

Herb Tarlek trapped in an elevator during a fire: "I don't wanna die in this suit".

I am looking for the episode or just the exact quote from Johnny Fever. He is on air doing an ad (?) and was talking about chemicals (chemistry?). I loved that quote when I heard it as a kid, but cannot remember it now. Please help me find the episode or exact quote. Thanks in advance.

I miss this show.

One of the very few lines I can remember took place in the episode where they show Venus entering the station for his interview (it could've been an episode with a flashback). He was dressed quite extravagantly/weirdly/totally OTT.

Jennifer looks at him and says:  "Are you Earth, Wind or Fire?"

Also loved the episode where Johnny comes crawling back to WKRP after quitting for a position at a too glib/phoney station.  He had to take the crack-of-dawn shift and groggily referred to himself, being half asleep, as Heavy Early ("This is Heavy Early, in the morning").

Just rewatched Jennifer and the Will, and loved Herb's offer of condolences, "He caught the big bus while he was eating in the best place in town," but the best line was from the Col's video tape - "To my brother Cedric, I leave him... nothing.  Since he's always been an all or nothing guy, he can't have it all, so he gets... nothing."

From the 'Hoodlum Rock' episode:

Herb (to Jennifer): "Boy, where have you been ?"
Jennifer: "Out with other men, Herb.  Letting them have their way with me."
Herb: " Don't say that Jennifer."
Jennifer: "It's true Herb, you want to know what else."
Herb: "I don't want to hear it."

It's not really a quote as much as a running gag...the ep where someone leaves a baby at the station..and the kid cries horribly when Herb enters the room...

Drinks for Jennifer from "little guy with bow tie, tall black man, cowboy, and longshoreman."

And after the rest of the gang uses cheesy pickup lines on her, Les looks her in the eye and says, "Hello. I'm incredibly wealthy."
