  1. As most of us have learned, Y&R episodes air in Canada one day before they air in the US. This thread is meant to be a place where viewers in Canada can openly discuss the episodes the day they air without worrying about spoiling anything for viewers outside of Canada. Anything that happens in the episode is fair game for discussion, and spoiler tags are unnecessary. (Of course, if you do talk about spoilers that come from some other source, use the spoiler tags as usual.) This thread is certainly NOT meant to banish our Maple Leaf buds to the hinterlands of the Yukon Territories. In fact, I hope there is a lot of border crossing. Viewers in Canada can still pop over to the "Getting to Genoa You" thread to discuss anything up to and including the episode which airs in the US. And I'm sure there will be plenty of people from outside of Canada who don't mind spoilers who will check in to this thread and join the discussion.
  2. Here's your place for spoilers and spoiler discussion!
  3. Feel free to not read this post. I'm ranting. Not going to be swayed on this one.. s13 spoiler rant. I can't with Spawn being behaving like Cas.. I mean unless Spawn imprinted on Cas in utero for...reasons, he has no reason to behave that way. If anything he should behave like Kelly, The Noble (also really, she's noble? I don't want to even know why Dabb thinks she's noble. I mean I know why, and NOPE. NOPE NOPE I don't want Dean parenting Lucifer's spawn at all. Let Sam sink or swim on this one. I fully expect the show to have Sam become a mechanic by the end of this season, because Dean will be a drug addled, alcoholic who can't remember how to fix cars or some other shit. II see what you are doing, show. I am not amused.
  4. Discuss comparisons here. Note that there is a thread for the original Roswell if you just want to reminisce,
  5. James Scott OUT. I guess this makes sense in view of Alison Sweeney's departure, but wow! According to the article he wraps up his scenes today and will be gone before Alison. http://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/exclusive-james-scott-done-days
  6. As we inch closer to the premiere date, news about the show is gonna start leaking out. (Like, f'r instance, clips of audition tapes turning up on a comic book news site). So hey, if you come across any verified news about the show, post it here.

    Spoiler Discussion Thread: The Sequel

Just as Hollywood realizes it's sometimes best to break up an overly long movie into multiple parts, sometimes it's smart to break up extra long threads to get a fresh start. Please make sure you pay attention to the rules for this thread. If you follow them, it will help keep it manageable for everyone. This topic is for spoiler discussion of Arrow only This topic is NOT for complaining/rehashing past seasons/episodes This topic is NOT for discussion of other shows in the overall Arrowverse EXCEPT for specific crossover discussion. When talk moves from spoiler-talk to non-spoiler character or relationship talk, take your reply to the appropriate character or relationship thread. Updated 8/17/18: Here is a link to the crossover episodes thread. If it's your first time visiting that thread, be mindful of the discussion guidelines.
  8. The place to talk about MAFS social media, spoilers, media articles, etc, and speculate about all of the above. Remember, social media discussion does NOT belong in episode threads.
  9. I figured we could use a dedicated social media/spoilers thread for My Big Fat Fabulous Life! Here is where we can put all our awesome Twitter/Instagram/Facebook/etc sleuthing for past, current or future storylines and characters on the show. Spill the T, gang!
  10. Bleeding Cool have read the script, and have provided some spoilers: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2016/02/29/ive-read-the-script-for-the-tv-pilot-for-archie-comics-riverdale-f-bombs-murder-noir-rainbow-parties-and-cougars/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter I don't know if there's a better thread for this; feel free to move. More at the link, but it sounds awful.
  11. The idea is that sometimes a movie is made with a hero or heroine who is supposed to be admirable but something about the writing, the context, or portrayal isn’t working. So a character who is supposed to be admirable comes off as horrible to the audience inspite of the filmakers intention. I think Duane Johnson’s character in San Andreas perfectly captures the concept. His pilot character is a first responder. When a crisis happens, it is his duty to rescue everyone he can. When the earthquake happens, not only does Duane Johnson’s character abandon his duty to rescue as many people as possible, but he steals government equipment (rescue helicopter) to focus all his efforts on rescuing his family. So not only are emergency services short a qualified person but also now don’t have a critical tool to rescue people. We’re supposed to think he’s a hero when he abandons his duty but in real life imagine of first responders had an attitude of “Screw you strangers. I’m only going to rescue people I love.” They would be horrible people. He doesn’t even seem torn or feel guilty about his choice.
  12. Scott and Lizzie met and fell in love through a prison pen pal website called meetaninmate.com. Lizzie is serving eight years for several DUI charges, and although she has admitted to using romantically inclined men to help support her in the past, insists that Scott is her true love. Scott has sent her about $20,000 over the course of their relationship and friends and family have expressed concern that she may be using him for financial support. Is Scott another one of Lizzie’s tricks or is this love for real?
  13. Well, I started last year's thread almost exactly one year ago, so I guess it's time to start the 2019 thread. (For reference, here are the complete lists of last year's finalists and TCCs). I will be very interested to see what becomes of last year's eliminated TCCs. I believe this was the order of their elimination: Jasmin Ammons Lindsay Brady Dayton Bramhall - definitely will not audition Taylor Tauss Kristin Dodd Victoria Kalina - definitely will audition Malena Brown Lily Johnson Prep classes are underway! With Michelle Keys out of the picture, I wonder who most of of the women will flock to for class. Sarah Idziak and Jenn Amburn? Jasmin Ammons and Taylor Tauss attended Jenn Amburn's first 2019 prep class. Also in attendance were Kali Mikelson (2017 finalist, 2018 semifinalist) and Kylee Wideman (2016 finalist). I will be interested to see if they audition this year. A few other women commented on the post below that they were also there for the class, but it's hard to tell who is prepping for tryouts and who is just taking class for fun. Someone else I have an eye on is Kelly Porazzo, who has been auditioning for a few years. She's made it to semis a couple times but never as far as finals. She's always been a blonde for auditions, but she just went brunette and moved to NYC to spend the next several months preparing for auditions (DCC auditions, I assume, although all she said was "NFL auditions.") Moving to NYC is an interesting strategy. While I'm sure there is a wide variety of classes and coaches available, I hadn't heard that NYC is a mecca for power pom, high kick, and competition-style hip-hop dance styles needed for DCC. And finally, I just have to say a little "woohoo" for Hannah Prosser, aka "Road to DCC girl" who I've been keeping an eye out for since discovering her. Hannah is the girl who as on her college dance team in Wisconsin and dreaming of (and working toward) auditioning for DCC for years. She missed last year's audition but now she's finally in the right place at the right time. She's moved to Dallas, is enrolled in graduate school and is teaching dance on the side. She's all signed up for prep classes and I am excited to see how she does. Just getting to audition is a huge deal for her.

    Spoilers and Speculation

I thought that we might be better off having a separate thread for people who want to speculate without spoilers. If so I guess someone can create that. http://www.eonline.com/news/531345/spoiler-chat-the-walking-dead-orphan-black-shameless-parks-and-recreation-and-more

    The Star Wars Saga

Filming for Episode VII has begun, so it's time to have a thread about it. All of it. I'd say that Star Wars is my favourite franchise of all time. Whatever medium it moves to, I will follow. It's racked up movies, TV, books, comics, and audio so far. I don't love everything that has been produced, but I love having the option. In other news, I've been listening to the Rebel Force Radio commentary tracks, with Sam Witwer. He's played several characters over the years, and has also talked about the series with George Lucas. He's funny, but he also has some insights. The original plan, in universe, was for Bail Organa, Obi-Wan, and Yoda to wait for Luke and Leia to come of age, then train them quickly to overthrow the emperor. Then Alderaan was blown up, throwing the plan to hell. The cave on Dagobah shows signs of being deliberately manufactured. Considering how much George has fiddled with the movies, that can't be an oversight. There's more to Dagobah than just that place where Yoda lives. So what are some of your favourite Star Wars stories?
  16. Discuss Colt & Larissa here! *AND DEBBIE, DON'T FORGET DEBBIE.
  17. A thread for talking about those seriously, all-out, pants-peeingly funny moments on TV. --------------------------- I've been catching up on all the MythBusters episodes that I've missed, and tonight they were testing the speed and distance that sneezes can achieve. Jamie: "When Adam sneezes, we need to see how far the stuff that comes out of his nose travels, and so to do that I'm going to add this cherry flavored red kids drink mix to the snuff that he inhales, and when he sneezes hopefully we'll see little red dots on this lovely strip of white paper." Adam: (snorts snuff/kool-aid) "Oh...ah...oh...it's irritating...and sweet and fruity!" At that point I started laughing, and could not stop. Everything they did after that for the rest of the segment just made it funnier. It's making me laugh now. My stomach hurts...

    Spoilers and Spoiler Speculation

Just thought I'd bring some important topics over from the old forum. Discuss spoilers/sides here.
  19. Since we know there will be a Season 10 (sigh) sometime in the future, I figured I'd start a new topic for those discussions.
  20. So, apparently there is suppose to be a "big twist" in the pilot. Anyone know what that is? Season-Zero.com (who apparently got a look at the pilot script, or at least a significant amount of sides pages): Deadline.com:
  21. This is similar to the X-Men thread, but it's for The Avengers and all the movies that take place in that specific universe, and casting and production news for announced films. After all the hubbub of Edgar Wright leaving Ant-Man, and a bunch of people turning the job down, Marvel settled on Peyton Reed to direct the film. I'm going against the grain on this one. I don't think it will ultimately make a big difference. Ant-Man was never going to the biggest or best movie in the MCU anyway. I don't think it will flop at all. It will be following Avengers: The Age of Ultron by just about two months and will get a boost there. I think it will do fine even if it's unspectacular. Marvel also announced that Scott Derrickson will direct Doctor Strange. Supposedly both Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch are up for the starring role. I have my doubts that it will be either one though.
  22. It's around that time of year again: Season 8 news is starting to trickle out! What we know or what is rumoured: 1. Season 8 will have six episodes. 2. D&D revealed the writing order at SXSW: Dave Hill for 8x01, Bryan Cogman for 8x02, and D&D for 8x03 through 8x06. EW.com recently reported that the writers are still in the process of writing Season 8. 3. The production may return to Spain. Head of the Andalucia Film Commission, Carlos Rosado, said that if nothing goes wrong, they can expect GOT to film Season 8 in Spain. 4. HBO was also looking at filming in Sweden (specifically, Visby) at one point. 5. Filming is expected to start in September 2017, per Liam Cunningham.
  23. Discuss Eric & Leida here!
  24. Carly and Sonny take their toxic romance on a trip down memory lane during the anniversary episode next week. Lulu & Dante change baby Ben's name to Rocco.
