    S02.E10: Merry Ex-Mas

I know, I thought he was a It's A Wonderful Life guy too because sometimes this show is just really too saccharine. That being said, I loved the Marine story, and I didn't care that I teared up. And I liked the shout out to Die Hard being a Christmas movie. Anyone saying anything else is just wrong. I'm so thrilled that Athena said yes. Definitely didn't predict that, I was sure she was going to be cynical and say it was too soon. Eddie and his wife bore me. I would much rather watch Buck and Eddie. Good Christmas songs used, even though I'm already sick of them. I kind of hate this holiday. Bah humbug.

    S02.E08: Buck Actually

I hardly think they're the main focus, The next episode is almost entirely Hen-centric, as this past one focused on Buck.

I didn't jump to it either, but I'm not a Star Trek fan. I remember hearing about the death when it happened, but it never even occurred to me as I was watching.

    S02.E08: Buck Actually

Nothing will top his hilarious dances from Parenthood, but Bobby's dancing with Athena was adorable. Like she said, he's definitely a keeper. And I'd keep anyone who cooks for me. Lots of good in this episode: I missed some of Lola and Norman, but the Say Anything and Psychedelic Furs references hooked me for sure. She damn deserved to be arrested though. And apparently she can freaking drink - 9 shots of Jaeger? I'd be dead. Liked Bobby saving the day with the guy in the car, I feel like he sometimes just mindlessly gives orders. It was nice to see him take charge with authority and contribute to the problem at hand with some creativity. Thank god Buck left Taylor Kelley and got back with Earthquake Girl, who I didn't even recognize. I loved the Old Gay Couple, and I enjoyed the telling of their relationship through the photo book. They were both hot back in the day. Very sad they both died, but one of a broken heart is absolutely true love. It also feels like since they obviously aren't or were never going to do Buck and Eddie as a couple, they gave us this as somewhat of a consolation. Maddie and Chim are sweet, but don't really do anything for me. Kind of boring and bland right now. Had to laugh at Athena smashing those mashed potatoes.

That's her brother, played by Doug Savant, right? Now it makes sense.

    S02.E07: Haunted

This part I can agree on. Who knows what's going to happen in the future. But as for how he's been accepted into the family, I'm willing to fanwank that like I've previously suggested that these kids are more open-minded and stuff goes on that they don't show. The way that the relationship mostly occurred off-screen in between seasons kind of set up this scenario anyway. There's a lot that happened that we don't know how it exactly went down as far as how they kind of got together as far as dating went.

I thought it was a minority opinion, or maybe it's mine because I still think they're awesome. If anything, I'd love to see even more and sex it up a little. That brief glimpse we got in the Season 2 premiere showed they can be sexy together. I think her mom's death hit her much harder than she expected and she really needed an escape from all memories of her, Buck included. I don't think she was intending to necessarily stay for that long, but hell once you get over there I could see never wanting to come back. Especially in today's environment which was referenced with the questioning of what year it was, etc. Not looking forward to Buck in the preview next week, I really hate that reporter. I will have to go back and rewatch this episode because I was up in the mountains and didn't really get to watch full details.

    S02.E06: Dosed

In Season 1x5, Point of Origin, they showed his entire family - wife, son and daughter. They showed him putting the kids to bed. Both kids' hair was blond. Hen told Athena some of Bobby's background with his alcoholism, that he went on a bender once.

As far as rushing into it, I think they've hinted at things taking place in little ways. Bobby is known to be a great cook, so it looks like he might have made a few meals over there which means they could have been bonding without it being shown. I bet Harry thinks that being a firefighter is really cool. And May probably just wants Athena to be happy. They adapted very well to the divorce and took to that major change pretty quickly. So it could be that they're just comfortable around Bobby because they know that the security with Dad is still there. What is Michael's job again? Why can't I remember? Is he a stay at home dad?

    S02.E06: Dosed

Firefighters frequently go to medical emergency calls. I had to call 911 for my mom after a surgery that I had, because she was having some severe trouble with a drug that she was prescribed. Four people in her bedroom - 2 paramedics and 2 firefighters. I had to control the dog who slept on her bed to keep him from growling at everyone. And he was quite old at that point. So much to say, but basically I loved this episode because it delved into Bobby's struggles again. As he's my favorite character, I feel for him at seeing the pain that he continues to go through. I hate that he's essentially off the wagon again, especially when it wasn't even his fault. But it was good for them to highlight that he will always be an addict/alcoholic and to have to choose the path that leads him to where he wants to be: away floating off into a netherworld where he thinks he can be with his family again, or here in the present with people that support him like Athena and his new blended family. The invitation into the group photo at the end killed me. How preciously adorable. More of all of this please. Maddie and Chimney I could get behind. She clearly needs therapy for herself though, and I hope she takes Sue up on her offer. Hated the reporter and her backwards Kelly Taylor name. The emergencies were pretty low-key except for the disgusting one. Which was just gross and vile and made me have to look away. Thanks, Ryan Murphy. But I've figured out that we're pretty much bound to get something icky, something kind of scary/shocking, and something super sweet/tear-jerking. Which okay, yeah it's a formula but it sure is working for me. Oliver Stark (Buck) confirmed there will be 18 episodes.

    S02.E04: Awful People

I know what you mean. I've been craving a good fire on this show for a while now. More opportunity for me to see my sexy fire captain in action. I remember her mostly from Party of Five, which is what I associate JLH with the most as well. That, and I Know What You Did Last Summer. What can I say? I'm a 90's TV chick.
