    S02.E11: New Beginnings

I missed that, so thanks. Usually I do a rewatch, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Chimney seems to be a favorite of everyone's, and I think he's okay. But if he died, it wouldn't kill me. It could make for some good drama. They go after Bobby, Athena or Hen though, and there will be hell to pay.

The mods here tend to frown on if we go off too far and don't talk about the show events specifically. I wasn't trying to call you out or anything.

I definitely remember that story. I felt so sorry for both of them, but particularly the older boy. To bring this back on topic, I kind of wanted to hear more of that mother-daughter discussion on college before the overturned truck and shark attack. They seemed very believable and interesting in relation to recent headlines.

So the kidnapped children storyline could have been shown to be even darker, although it was pretty bad enough as it was. I recognized the names that were referenced from real life: Parnell and roughly the same ages of the two boys that he stole and then sexually abused. They made a TV miniseries about it - I Know My First Name Is Steven. God, It was incredibly sad.

Thoroughly enjoyable episode. It's so refreshing to see everyone again. I'll just echo what was said above. I've missed this show, especially Bobby and Athena.

    Episode Discussion: TFGH

(Long time no see, everyone. I've largely checked out, but tuned back in for Ava's reaction to which I was not disappointed. I also really want them to address the fact that she was essentially raped by Ryan multiple times.) I did want to comment on this though. I have epilepsy and had a particularly horrible year last year with back to back seizures after 25 years of not having one (one really bad at home where I live alone that could have killed me due to a head injury). But them having sex could lead to him dying never even crossed my mind with both Carly/Joss and the Drew/Oscar scenes though. I genuinely just thought they were talking about taking the next step and how big that step is when you're a teenager/you're too young/but time is running out/blah blah blah. And yes, they should bring Kim into the conversation. It was one of the first things I asked when I got my new neurologist. Can I still have sex? Please? Thankfully, the answer was yes.

I know, I thought he was a It's A Wonderful Life guy too because sometimes this show is just really too saccharine. That being said, I loved the Marine story, and I didn't care that I teared up. And I liked the shout out to Die Hard being a Christmas movie. Anyone saying anything else is just wrong. I'm so thrilled that Athena said yes. Definitely didn't predict that, I was sure she was going to be cynical and say it was too soon. Eddie and his wife bore me. I would much rather watch Buck and Eddie. Good Christmas songs used, even though I'm already sick of them. I kind of hate this holiday. Bah humbug.

    S02.E08: Buck Actually

I hardly think they're the main focus, The next episode is almost entirely Hen-centric, as this past one focused on Buck.

I didn't jump to it either, but I'm not a Star Trek fan. I remember hearing about the death when it happened, but it never even occurred to me as I was watching.

    S02.E08: Buck Actually

Nothing will top his hilarious dances from Parenthood, but Bobby's dancing with Athena was adorable. Like she said, he's definitely a keeper. And I'd keep anyone who cooks for me. Lots of good in this episode: I missed some of Lola and Norman, but the Say Anything and Psychedelic Furs references hooked me for sure. She damn deserved to be arrested though. And apparently she can freaking drink - 9 shots of Jaeger? I'd be dead. Liked Bobby saving the day with the guy in the car, I feel like he sometimes just mindlessly gives orders. It was nice to see him take charge with authority and contribute to the problem at hand with some creativity. Thank god Buck left Taylor Kelley and got back with Earthquake Girl, who I didn't even recognize. I loved the Old Gay Couple, and I enjoyed the telling of their relationship through the photo book. They were both hot back in the day. Very sad they both died, but one of a broken heart is absolutely true love. It also feels like since they obviously aren't or were never going to do Buck and Eddie as a couple, they gave us this as somewhat of a consolation. Maddie and Chim are sweet, but don't really do anything for me. Kind of boring and bland right now. Had to laugh at Athena smashing those mashed potatoes.

This part I can agree on. Who knows what's going to happen in the future. But as for how he's been accepted into the family, I'm willing to fanwank that like I've previously suggested that these kids are more open-minded and stuff goes on that they don't show. The way that the relationship mostly occurred off-screen in between seasons kind of set up this scenario anyway. There's a lot that happened that we don't know how it exactly went down as far as how they kind of got together as far as dating went.
