  1. I swear I heard about them doing this show a year ago. And of course they're doing in a small town down South that probably already has their own small town Christmas. Can't give a makeover to a larger town in need of a pick me up.
  2. We have multiple Christmas baking shows on channels already included in our package.
  3. The big problem is that they keep forcing them together because on is an Abbott and one is a Newman. No other reason but that as if they're havent been multiple other Abbott/Newman pairings. Its supposed to be some Romeo/Juliet type story but it's never worked.
  4. I don't understand why they keep having Kyle fall for Summer. No version of this pairing has ever had great chemistry worth all this pimping and Summer has no redeeming qualities for Kyle to pursue her.

I liked that lady wanting to adopt her even though she's older than her. And the character who is so cartoonishly racist he makes other whites happy they aren't as racist as him.

I was on vacation for weeks so I'm late watching this but this skit was so accurate. All the reasons why I can't sit down and watch these types of movies.
  7. I'm glad Lori is facing the consequences of her actions. They're hitting her wear it hurts the most. Her pockets! The whole situation reeks of white privilege and I have no sympathy for her or her spoiled daughters.
  8. Yep we had a freeview on Direct TV for it twice now and it was only showing Little House on the Prairie reruns and a few Pixl movies
  9. Surprised they dropped her. Not surprised to see the many people on Facebook capping for her saying she doesnt deserve this over a simple mistake.

There's a difference between being light skinned with two black parents and being half white. And experience racism doesnt change that. Biracial people experience racism but also have clear advantages over black people because of their white side regardless of skin tone.

There's also Fake it Til You Break it which like TATBILB has a fake dating trope and whose publisher revealed they are working with a studio to develop their books into series and movies. https://www.swoonreads.com/blog/a-e-studios-partners-swoon-reads-develop-ya-tvfilm/ Mia and Jake have known each other their whole lives. They’ve endured summer vacations, Sunday brunches, even dentist visits together. Their mothers, who are best friends, are convinced that Mia and Jake would be the perfect couple, even though they can’t stand to be in the same room together. After Mia’s mom turns away yet another cute boy, Mia and Jake decide they’ve have had enough. Together, they hatch a plan to get their moms off their backs. Permanently. All they have to do is pretend to date and then stage the worst breakup of all time—and then they’ll be free. The only problem is, maybe Jake and Mia don’t hate each other as much as they once thought

I've been seeing an interested in Korean YA stories lately. There's the recently released 29 DAtes which Disney already greenlit as a movie for their streaming platform. Unfortunately I didn't like the book when I read an advance of it. Hopefully they got a Korean writer for the movie because Melissa De La Cruz wrote it like some Korea boo fiction. On the plus side the lead is fully Asian with two Asian male love interests. https://www.google.com/amp/s/deadline.com/2018/12/29-dates-book-melissa-de-la-cruz-movie-disney-streaming-the-gotham-group-1202520374/amp/
