Chris with L & L was on with David tonight & I just realized she makes him look kinda slim. This is mean, but there are sooo many comments re David's girth, & none I've noticed re Chris's. What's she got on y'all?

Nicolle was on fire on "Late Night" 1/30/19, full of great comments (& amazing shoes, too :))

If you like police states with public canings for such civil infractions, Singapore is the spot.

Up late in the West so got to see Lisa Rinna's $318 burgundy leather jacket with some kinda special collar - stands up or lies flat or does magic tricks, I can't remember the pitch. It did appear to be good quality leather (or pleather - who can really tell sans touching?) One thing for sure - the style looked bad on every body. Q host was the new blonde with sooper straight, collarbone length hair, that many of you know from elsewhere - she made sure to say she's 5'8" & wearing a size 4; too bad, as she looked tubby in the jacket, squeezed over a bulky sweater & topping what looked like a pair of my "fat pants." Then they showed it on a brunette "plus-sized" model (maybe a sz 14 - 16) & she (of course) looked worse, especially from the rear, as jacket was cut very short/riding up, & she was (natch) wearing it over a much longer, horizontally-striped top. So odd the Q doesn't make an effort to style these clothes in a flattering way - if a willowy 5'8" creature looks like the "before" pic in a diet ad, what incentive is there for the average 5'4" schlub to buy these garments (especially at $300+?)

Sad to say, the corner-cutting has made ribbed hems on knits a bit of a rara avis, & IMO, a new mark of quality (that used to be on every sweater - now we usually get just a turned-under hem. GRRR.)

Thanks! More to it than I thought.

OTOH, the one good thing re the shutdown is that Megs apparently is feeling some of the misery many of the rest of us have now experienced for the last 2 years.

Old fart here, please enlighten. WTH is the etymology of the phrase, being " in one's head?" Arie said it endlessly - but surely that dimwit didn't add to the English language? It's been used here by some posters, too. I googled it to no avail, but it seems such an oddball way to say quiet or uncommunicative...

Will you still love me when I'm 64? Beatles' Question for the Ages. MY question is when will mature women be allowed to look like our chronological age sans being mocked? I find Alice in Wonderland hairstyles on older femmes much more snarkable than, say, Amy's apparently insupportable opt for short tresses.

EWW - watching the Westmore Beauty OAP try to wiggle her bare foot into her (no doubt) costly pumps on camera while "selling" - she almost got it. Why are hose so despised? Are mine the only tootsies that develop an unappealing reek after a few hours in closed-toe/heel shoes? I've noticed that in the UK, most women still wear "stockings" with such shoes & look so much better groomed, IMO.

Is it the strange, dog collar tie of her blue top, its unfortunate one-shouldered cut, or the pathetic stringy hair that's making Sandra the Beautiful look like a no-neck wonder tonight?

    Intentional, no?

But SNL was parodying "60 Minutes" & its "Point/Counterpoint", which featured pompous ass conservative James J. Kilpatrick talking down to "liberal'"Shana Alexander. I thought the bit was hilarious, this being the '70's & little satire available on my 3 TV channels - wow, am I old!

Selhars - I didn't watch the "new" David show but your description tells me I never will! In more old is new "news," the Calista electric hair-styling brush at $89 seems almost identical to my beloved early '80's, possibly Conair, hot styling brush - of course, it cost about $8, but I used it for years (couldn't/can't handle a blow dryer & a brush in each hand - lousy motor skills) until it finally died, & then no replacement was available. Consumer Reports & other media had terrified the public with reports that these hot styling dryers/tools contained asbestos, likely a factor in the brush's disappearance. Will now search the web for a similar, non-rotating, non-asbestos (??), simple hot brush at a better price... betcha I can find some hair spray/products for a fraction of the Q's cost, too.
