  1. I wondered that, too. The one time I paid attention it looked like the covers got sucked between the floor and the bottom edge of the wall. A bit freaky, but it works for me.

    TV Tropes You Hate

Which reminds me of another one that makes my jaws tight: food fights. After the couple spills food on each other they just let loose and start flinging it at each other, giggling madly all the while gobs of greasy, gooey stuff fly through the air. And why does being willing to behave like unsupervised toddlers signal romantic happiness? Not everyone has a production crew come in and clean up between takes, you morons.
  3. I've only seen the full length version once but he's a security guard. After patrolling all night with his little dog he's stopping for lunch/dinner in the morning in the part of the commercial that always plays. It's not very clear without the setup, though.

    TV Tropes You Hate

Totally agree. What makes me saddest about this trope is that whenever a TV couple gets together because they actually like each other and have shared experiences that show that they're compatible, they're thought to be "boring" or "no/low chemistry." Shit. Chemistry isn't everything and if it's all they've got it's going to be a very short relationship.

Even if he was up for it I don't think Jamie would be a good fit for the Jr show. He's too reserved. I think he'd be a huge buzzkill at best. On the other hand, Adam is enthusiastic and open about working with kids but also has the skills and (mostly enough) good judgement to not get everyone killed while experimenting.

Party of One: Unpopular TV Opinions

I'm with you 100%. I am sick of that damn blue-gray filter used for every outdoor scene on "gritty" dramas no matter what the weather actually is which makes everything look like there's an impending blizzard. Ugh.

F-U, Reboot-Mania: Express Your Hate Here

The CW is rebooting The 4400, one of my must-watch shows when USA Network was still "Characters Welcome" (RIP). https://www.tvinsider.com/729491/the-4400-reboot-the-cw/ I was excited about this until I read the article, which stated that the returnees will all be young adults. "Bugger," I thought. But this is The CW, and young adults are their thing. I'll check it out if it happens because I loved that show, but I know it isn't being targeted to me. Who knows? It might still have broader appeal.

    Aargh. I totally understand now.

    S02.E06: Dosed

I'd be very disappointed in her if Athena told anyone Bobby's secret. It wouldn't do anyone any good and would be horrible for Bobby. He has been atoning for his mistake to the very best of his ability and then some (magic blood!) so in my opinion no extra opprobrium needs to be heaped on his head.

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage

I've never seen her show(s). Is "EVOO" pronounced as a word or is every letter pronounced separately? If it's as a word, I agree that that's heinous.

Their clothes are pretty damn good, too. Best women's t-shirts ever, IMO.

    S02.E04: Awful People

At the cemetery Athena told Maddie to stay in the car and unlike many civilians in cop dramas, she actually did. I need to rewatch but I think at the restaurant they were both inside because they were originally just going for lunch, and once Athena realized the cook needed help ASAP she brought in Maddie herself. And oh, the guy spewing actual shit out of his mouth? I'm going to savor that scene for a long, long time.

@MargeGunderson I am so sorry. I've been through that once before and sometime in the near future I'm also going to have to say goodbye to a friend, my 21-year-old cat girl. I'm storing up good recent memories to help me when it's time. I hope your own memories of her long and happy life help you now. Be well and remember her.
