    S09.E16: Reunion Part 1

My toddler son is super into "Thomas & Friends" now and I'll just take a quote frequently used in that series that is apropos to the photo of Tree's boy toy: "The indignity!"

I liked how Delores said something like "No, no. I dont like that." She's been honest and pretty vocal about her opinions no matter whose side she's on. I just can't abide her Teresa defense to *this* level. I appreciate a loyal gal though. If it makes you feel any better, I doubt the line was out the door for the Turkish Jeweler as far as American women go. Especially if he only goes for the "hot" ones. If there's a "hot" American girl looking to sleep with him, she may be enticed by diamonds and at that point- I have no dog in that fight. If he's on Match or something trying to get bootie from honest ladies looking for love and marriage and they make the mistake of sleeping with him then I'm sad for those ladies & to hell with the whole Turk family and their beliefs on sex and marriage.

It was a thing last season she couldn't drink alcohol bc of probation. I also knew someone like this. Off probation, you could drink. So she was on it and now off. Parole= I have no clue.

Something happened to Teresa by the time of this reunion and idk what it was or if it's general fury with Jackie. She was shaking around and her facial expressions were manic. She was so unhinged. I actually thought she might snap and go back to prison. I believe it's POSSIBLE only thing keeping her somewhat controlled (at least physically) was knowing that Jackie *is*/*was* an attorney and knows her law and what could land Teresa back in the clink. Oddly, I didnt know until this reunion that Jackie had a law degree. Interesting.

It was actually BOTH. It was to the effect "here she comes, my bitch wife.. f'n C." Something klassy like that.

Early on, I learned that Teresa's job before becoming a stay at home mom was a buyer for Macy's. I looked into it and saw that Buyers don't make very much. Pretty much low to mid. But I always loved the premise of it. I considered it a sort of prestigious career and hard to get into. She probably had some connections. I don't know how she could carry something like that.

"Money Can't buy you class" indeed. It can't buy taste either. Listen, I can outfit my ass in forever 21 and somehow manage to look classier than Jennifer. Her taste is way off. It's severely off. I have not seen one look on her that I would wear or admire and they probably cost more than my house. It's a shame, really. Delores is one of my style faves along with Melissa (for NJ). Bethenny Frankel- I have to give it to her, Almost 100% of the time, I WANT her outfit. Even the simple top and jeans. A blazer to pull it together, c'est magnifique! Her personality leaves much to be desired though.

The Tree book writing thing is surprisingly such a hot button here. I've had ideas for howives business ventures for awhile. I think they all "create" (see: INVEST IN) the wrong businesses. Swimsuits, toaster ovens, prosecco, cookbooks....idk what else. I think that Tree should embrace the humor surrounding her. Learn to poke fun at herself and maybe release a book to that effect including all her malapropisms: "cleansiness", "Ingrediences" etc. Then NYC's Sonja should publish a book of "high society hacks" how to get luxury on the cheap. Things like "revive early 90s preppy fashions with a modern twist...houndstooth is back in a big way!" And "sharpie marker'ing a black Chanel purse." If they all saw themselves the way we do, there would be their bread and butter. We are their only market after all. My mom sure wouldn't know any of them from a hole in the wall...their sh** would have to be Really good and we know that hasn't happened since skinny girl margaritas (but I don't buy bc too expensive for little buzz).

    S09.E02: Eat Your Heart Out

You forgot Teddy. She is always just going to be the overweight, overlooked daughter of a famed singer who got fit but still bears the scars from the overweight years. She's a fairly down to earth girl (like "shallow Hal" said: a rare gem...an ugly girl who didn't get hot til later in life so she developed a cool personality out of necessity). Maybe? Idk. ETA: Teddy wasn't ever ugly. Overweight doesnt =ugly. I just see her as more "normal" than the others in a sense of a more humble start. Her 1st season she seemed like a sheep amongst wolves.

I've been liking Melissa lately...BUT- Remember her goal was to be "on display on display on display...each and every day..." so she of course chose Tree over Kathy and Rosie. She had to stay on the show & piggyback off Tree. But as for choosing Tree over wacky Jacque? Well that's just common sense! LoL

I wouldn't mind getting rid of Tree anyway. She didn't provide a storyline this year anyway besides body building and hanging with her intellectual equals (that's Jennifer & Danielle, FYI). Filming her life post- Joe's deportation (deportation WHORE!- sorry, couldn't control myself) would be in poor taste being that they have four children caught up in this. A big part of Tree's story has always been her home life with fambly. So it would have to be a Tree spinoff without kids shown & I'm NOT down with it. I loved hate-watching the Manzo fools & I wonder how they'd get on with the new cast. I'd go for a cast shakeup keeping all current howives with Caroline in Tree's place.

I might add- As someone who waited an inordinate amount of time to get a copy of the "Fabulicious" cookbook by Tree signed by her at a Barnes & Noble a million years ago- I ALSO have a photo with my husband and Tree. We also gushed to her how she and Joe Gi were our "favorite couple on the show" & we "love watching them." I've also watched every season of this dumpster fire. Am *I* now a "stalker"??? I agree with Jackie- is Tree now name-calling and putting down anyone who attended her book signings? Us peons who have afforded her the lifestyle she now enjoys? Insulting is right! *Dodging y'all's rotten fruit being tossed at me now*🍐🍌🍅🍎🍉

Rain passing through and my DirecTV is pausing this sh**fest left and right to where it totally cut out the past 15 min. But I was enjoying this. Tree hates that Jackie is a lawyer and has found success in life. Tree also looks bulked up and the dress is not doing her any favors. She keeps touching her hideous ponytail but we've all seen she can't go 10 seconds without stroking her extensions (even Gia called it out last season). The facial fillers are horrendous on Tree. She is making herself look so stupid and can't string together a sentence. Shes jealous of anyone with half a brain including Melissa. I hate when Jennifer and Tree have to feed each other the word the other one is trying to think of. Two airheads who found the other half of their brain. Delores attempts to be kind of neutral but still loyal to Tree for some reason. *TEAM [CAMERA] LEFT SIDE COUCH*

    S03.E13: Our Little Island Girl

I enjoyed the episode with a few exceptions. Positive: Great casting especially on young Beth. The young woman playing Beth had her down to a tee. I love seeing how different families and personalities develop and mesh. We become the product of our upbringing/experiences of our youth and somehow partner with someone who had a different upbringing and have to now make it work and raise your own family. It's a lot and a fascinating study. One thing Randall & Beth may have bonded over upon meeting was the grief of the sudden losses of their fathers. I hope we see more of the two. Negative: I don't like when they tie up these complicated relationships neatly with a bow💝. I grew up with a hard as nails mother who stifled my ambitions and believe me- the day she would apologize to me would be an ice cold day in hell. I know every situation may be different so I'll go along for the ride. It was so natural and relatable when Beth told her mom that she can't open up to her husband - the one in the world she should be closest to- what her dreams are. I just didn't expect mom to apologize. No f'n way. It would've been "ok! You had it bad?! You should've had *my* life!" And storming off. Side note: Last week I appreciated the "uncle Nicky" storyline not being tied up neatly with a bow. Just saying "goodbye. See you around, maybe" was satisfying for me regarding those characters and their personalities.
