    S03.E15: The Waiting Room

Forgot that little factoid. Let's pretend Tobe Babe's parents have gotten back together off screen and they'll be getting remarried anytime now. 😄 That way, if they show up again on the show, it won't be so awkward. 😉

I hope all that lovely money cheers John Goodman up a little, and he plays Dan Conner a bit brighter in S2 and less morose than what he was in S1. Yes, S1 had him grieving the loss of his wife, Rosie, but let's have more happiness and pep in S2.

    S03.E15: The Waiting Room

MIGUEL: Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Damon? I don't know if you'll remember me, but this is Miguel Rivas, yeah, nobody remembers my last name, but anyway, we met at Kate and Toby's wedding. I'm calling to let you know that your grandson was just born. Yeah, it's a boy! He came prematurely and is in the NICU in an isolette. I'm sure Toby will find some time later to update you. Yes, Kate is doing OK. Congratulations! You have a grandson named Jack!

I remember now. I missed that before. Still, you meet some guy who is married into the Pearson clan at a wedding; not really the family spokesperson. I know Miguel was just being kind and helpful, as usual. Miguel gets treated like poo poo sometimes.

The Damons (Toby's parents) probably don't even know who Miguel is. Why would they want to hear about their grandchild being born from someone they don't know. Why couldn't Toby man up for five minutes and call his Mom and Dad with the news and then tell them he'll get back to them later with an update?

    Unpopular Opinions Thread

I don't see how this can be an unpopular opinion; it just makes good rational, common sense. You've said it very eloquently and with your own experiences to back it up, it just goes to show you how crazy the PC stuff can get. Also, there's a river in Egypt that is full of visitors basking on the water. Bottom line: Morbidly obese people generally do not live a long life and if they get old, there are many health complications that go with it.

This Is Our Speculation Without Spoilers Topic

It would be an irony if Baby Jack is deaf and Kate and Toby have the dog named Audio. I hope TIU doesn't go there.

This Is Our Speculation Without Spoilers Topic

Kate develops postpartum depression, Toby is still depressed from his previous episode when he stopped taking his meds and hasn't gotten back on track, plus he feels overwhelmed with the preemie baby challenges, Kate and Toby decide they can't handle it, give Baby Jack up for adoption. Kevin and Sophie get back together after Zoe flees her relationship with lying alcoholic Kevin, Kevin and Sophie adopt Baby Jack, which is how his name becomes Jack Pearson (not Damon). Nicky and Kevin bond over AA and rehab and Nicky helps out with Baby Jack when Kevin and Sophie have nights out on the town. Kate decides Audio is too much to handle as well, and gives him up because that's what she's like. Toby can't handle life without Audio and the betrayal that Kate snuck around and rehomed him, much like her selling his Star Wars action figures, so they divorce.

    S03.E14: The Graduates

I don't think Randall was planning on being home for dinner every night, otherwise Beth still being at her teaching job wouldn't be a problem. Is Randall really going to be a part-time councilman or is he going to be in another state a lot during the week? You know Randall will be making the most of his new job as he possibly can. 😉

Are we on the same wavelength or what? I thought this exactly when I read the above OP and you remembered the same thing before me. Yes, Picabo was the name of the nearby town.

    S03.E14: The Graduates

Three nights a week Deja is in charge of cooking dinner? I suppose people will say Beth can make things in advance for her to heat up. Whatever. I don't think Beth and Randall should be using Deja as their babysitter.

This is the way men think. They want to fix things. Now. 😄

I know you meant bio dad, but you wrote boo dad. 😄 Made me laugh. It made me think of the booberry pie tradition Beth has.

    S03.E14: The Graduates

Agree to all this. Beth pointed out that she wouldn't get home until around 9pm and she had evening classes M-W-F. Then there's the weekends to deal with; even if it's daytime, who is going to drive the girls around to their various activities?
