How did all these people in middle-class type jobs (nurse, cop, social worker) end up living in a nice apartment building in NYC? I did like that the immigrant was Iranian and her accent was believable.

Since I'm Colombian, but have never been there, I enjoyed the Cartagena episode. Beautiful place, didn't realize it was so close to the water! The husband annoyed me and was it me, or did he seem not so straight? I did like his comment about having guests stay in the hotel, I'm the same way. I also loved that hammock on the porch, but had no idea why they would need 3 pools in one building (especially since they all seemed to be the same size/type and were right next to each other).

Yeah the way they handled the elderly lady seriously bothered me. They should have set her up with a social worker, or even better, psychiatric help. They just discharged her instead?

Mine did the same thing in the 80s and I was surprised to hear them say it was hard. But after thinking about it I realized it might be more difficult now because of all the new banking regulations imposed due to the Patriot Act and other legislation. The printer was good but I agreed they were marketing it to kids who were too young. The 8-12 range makes a lot more sense.

He definitely was trying to change his accent. Still handsome though!

I liked the Milan sister's haircut! But I thought her constant comments about needing a bedroom were silly. How much time is she really going to spend in Milan? The house hunter's dog was cute.

    S10.E12: Episode 12

The chevalier thing was funny the first time-it was brought up way too many times for one episode.

Anyone else see the episode in Kansas today? I think it was a rerun. I missed the beginning-did they say what towns they were looking in?

Hated the Detroit realtor and her tiny dog (and I'm a dog-lover). Its bad enough when buyers bring their dog, but agents definitely shouldn't. I agreed with the buyer's friend though about the condo. If the buyer didn't want to shovel (and in Detroit she was going to be shoveling a lot) then a condo makes more sense than a house. The outside of the house she chose was cute though! And i liked the dark cabinets in the kitchen.

    S01.E11: We Continue to Truck

This is not unusual-immigrant families are moving to these economically depressed areas and starting successful restaurants or other businesses.

Great point-that season 4 episode of Roseanne is one of their best, and this episode did play on a lot of the same themes.

Was anyone else confused about where that vineyard was? Maybe because I'm in the DC area that I noticed it. But I swear at the beginning they said it was West Virginia. But the episode description said Northern Virginia, and I think later in the episode they also said Virginia. I hope HGTV realizes that West Virginia and Virginia are two different states. Also I was watching an old episode of Roseanne today where Becky moves into a trailer, and it occurred to me that these tiny houses are just fancier trailers.

Emilio's fake accent and fake problems with English are so bad. Not to mention his leap from speaking almost no English to having indepth conversations (within just a few episodes). Couldn't they have found an actor who spoke English as a second language? I do feel bad that he was deported though.

Yeah the real estate agent was very cute!

The husband on that episode was kind of a jerk! He kept laughing about how he never has to do laundry or cook because his wife does it. Good carpenters-not the average fix stuff around the house but master craftsman types-can make a lot of money.
