Near the end of ITKWD, they're at around 45,000 for the day, and over 18,000 of those during David's show.

To get an idea of how badly QVC France was botched, look at this link from May 2015: https://wwd.com/business-news/media/qvc-set-to-launch-in-france-10133412/ Key quote: “It is the right time [to enter France],” Steve Bridgeman, chief executive officer of QVC France explained to WWD. “France is a mature market digitally.” Four years after its launch, QVC Italy generates 110 million euros, or $122.3 million at current exchange rates, according to Bridgeman. With a reach of 13 million homes in France, Bridgeman expects to generate at least the same number in a four-year timeframe. Me here: Instead, QVC France, whose website went live in June 2015 and went on air in August 2015, didn't last 4 years. The French economy hasn't been in great shape in the past few years, which didn't help, but I wonder if the powers-that-be also misread the French consumer in terms of thinking how Q would resonate there.

So Jane, 2 hours of kitchen/food with David, and then over to Shawn for her usual fashion/accessories/beauty shows. Do the Q's ratings go down that much after Jane is done on Fridays that they're bringing David in to give them a boost with the hope that viewers stick around for Shawn?

Don't forget the $36 for S&H for the pair of them and sales tax, where applicable. And I agree with you that it's not a microwave. For example, I highly doubt I can put a standard microwave dinner with its plastic cover in that thing. Or a bag of microwave popcorn.

In addition to another edition of ITKWD (which means there will now be regularly-scheduled kitchen/food shows on Q/Q2 every day of the week except Tuesday), David will apparently no longer be on Saturday Morning Q. Wonder who will take his spot; will it be a revolving door of hosts or will they establish a permanent replacement in a hurry? Rick hosts a show on Q2 on Fridays from 6-7 p.m. called "Wine and Dine With Rick." I guess they'll start ITKWD on Q at 7 or 8 in order to not overlap with it. Edit: Now that I think about it, did he mention how long the show is going to be and what channel it will be on? Because if it's longer than an hour it would potentially muck up other hosts' time slots too over on main Q if it's there.

Guess the air fryer oven is selling well enough so far since they haven't changed the $17.97 shipping and handling charge.

In another edition of press release word salad, au revoir to QVC France: https://homeshoppingista.wordpress.com/2019/03/24/qvc-shutters-french-home-shopping-network/ Edited to add that someone on the Q boards pointed out that its last day was the same day Beauty IQ flipped entirely to reruns.

Correction: Anuschka will be back on Evine at the end of April but gone for good soon after.

I will be interested in seeing how many of those t-shirts David can send out the door at $28 each (plus $3.50 S&H).

Apparently there's another shirt with "Happy Dance" on it.

Whoa! Changes to the set of ITKWM, specifically the seating area where Cathy P. does her social media thing (not sure when it was done but just noticed it). They lowered the bench so her feet are actually touching the floor, vs. dangling way up in the air (of course, she's wearing heels but still).

    Evine: Be Good

Oh, I'm well aware of that and why. I was mystified for that very reason when Evine announced they were bringing her on as a vendor. Not only do you have people who wouldn't buy anything from her, end of story, I hope there aren't too many situations in which someone buys a Jane Fonda product as a gift for someone else not knowing the recipient cannot stand her. That would be awkward, to say the least.

And there's a part of the conundrum: How to get the 35-and-unders to even consider you as a shopping option (hence all of the push for online/social media, etc) while keeping happy the older people who purchase the majority of what you sell. And that's not just a Q/HSN issue: It's an issue for Evine, JTV, ShopLC, Gem Shopping, and the purveyors who sell things like jewelry/gems, art, and coins for a few hours 1-5 days a week to viewers who either have satellite dishes or enough cable to get those infomercial-laden channels (examples include Lux, TVON, and Gem Hunter; I remember there once even being a program that would run late at night that sold guns).

I'd be curious to know how much it costs them to put on that cruise. Plus they do several days' worth of jewelry shows from Tuscon and Vegas every year. Two years ago or so they did a "glamping" jewelry event from a MN resort. They haven't done it lately but for a while they were occasionally sending a host to Savannah for shows at Paula Deen's house. Plus that have that studio in LA that occasionally gets used. All of that costs $$$. Q rarely does remote events and I don't think I've ever seen HSN do it with the exception of Hurricane Maria when they partially broadcast from a studio in Tennessee.
