I didn’t just blame Dorit. I was responding to a poster who was accusing LVP of not playing by the rules. To be clear, I was taking issue with what another poster wrote about LVP thinking she’s above the rules in skipping the reunion (which isn’t verified) and hoodwinking everyone else into supporting her decision to break the rules. As I stated, I think Dorit is a worse offender in this regard. Saying Dorit is worse doesn’t absolve LVP from her screwups throughout the adoption process. I am very openly critical of LVP on that front. But Dorit sucks the absolute most IMO and I can’t accept that skipping a reunion is in any way, shape or form comparable to putting a dog in danger. LVP not attending a Bravo reunion might kill my entertainment, but Dorit could have killed a dog. My first comment regarding a fine was largely in jest- if you read my second comment, which you quoted here, I clearly state that if LVP can’t make the reunion for whatever reason, she should accept whatever financial penalty is laid out in her Bravo contract. ETA: While I think LVP should have fined Dorit and PK, I don’t think that would have “taught” them anything. Just like running away from a woman at a pool in the Bahamas hasn’t taught them anything. Multiple lawsuits haven’t taught them anything. They’re selfish grifters and I’m afraid nothing (short of maybe a jail cell or having to live deep in the Valley) would humble them.
  2. And the clothes that come with it! Didn’t we see in a previous season that Dorinda got some of the castaways from John’s business- clothes that were dropped off, cleaned and/or repaired and then not picked up? Given the clientele he has, I bet some really nice clothing is occasionally left behind. Other than that, I got nothing except they both seem to party too hard and be a bit erratic.

Everyone there is NOT rich. And I found most of my classmates bright, but perhaps I’m just not that bright? And while it’s not the Ivy League, when I went there, it was a Top 50 school so I consider that competitive. Most of the students I knew there were highly motivated, heavily invested in politics and social issues, and worked their asses off at internships and multiple jobs each semester. It’s a very different environment from the one at Georgetown (where some friends went) and I assume USC (but I didn’t know anyone personally there). Kyle drives me crazy, but I haven’t gotten the impression that she, Mauricio or her daughters are idiots. Clueless sometimes, yes, but not dumb. Maybe Sophia saw something in the school she liked that was different than other schools? Picking a college strictly strictly based on ranking or competiveness is pretty absurd in my opinion- picking a college based on a student’s needs in terms of major, campus environment, location, etc. is just as important in determining success after college.

And again, who is to say it’s not a health issue with LVP (if she does indeed skip)? I can’t stand Kim and I often don’t like The Countess, but I still acknowledge that they had to prioritize their health and go to rehab. LVP shouldn’t have to be an addict to have her mental health concerns taken seriously. She’s already commented that she wasn’t really in a place to film and many have commented how LVP has seemed somewhat medicated this season (which I agree with and think is likely). The whole spin of “she can’t face the truth” sounds like Rinna-level bullshit. Outside of the other HWs, the majority of people seem to be on her side (from polls on WWHL, other guests on WWHL, and social media). I don’t think the reunion will be some revelatory time where all these people suddenly side with Dorit and Rinna and Teddi. What seems more likely is that LVP is suffering some degree of depression, anxiety, or trauma and doesn’t want to sit there for eight hours discussing her brother or listening to the rest of them scream. That is a HEALTH issue.

Like how Dorit put a puppy in danger (in violation of a contract she couldn’t bother to read) and managed to get almost the entire cast to look at her as the victim? As @langford peel said, there’s been a number of Housewives who have skipped reunions for various reasons. Some more legitimate than others. We don’t even know if LVP is skipping the reunion (it’s essentially a rumor right now and far from decided), but she has openly said she probably shouldn’t have filmed this season because she was too raw after her brother’s death. Maybe she is emotionally fragile and feels it’s not healthy for her. That’s just as valid as Kim or LuAnn and their rehab stints. I imagine there’s a clause in the Bravo contracts that covers the reunion at this point. And I’m sure LVP will accept the dock in pay (or whatever it is) should she skip it. Whereas Dorit has still not actually apologized for what happened to Lucy, told the full truth, and taken responsibility. And again- she actually hasn’t suffered the financial penalty she should have. In what is more of a gross example of someone thinking they’re above the rules, Dorit dumping a dog > LVP skipping a reunion. There’s no contest.

I will agree to her being “fined” as soon as Dorit pays her $5,000 fine.
  7. I don’t know you, luckyroll, but I somehow think your standards are a bit different than Danielle’s. With all 21 guys, I can’t imagine there’s a truly sane and/or smart one in the bunch. I mean, they like Danielle, which means you are simply not their type by your own admission that you possess a degree of sanity. This has always been my philosophy:

I don’t even know this game, but I vote for “Head Maurader, Clash of Clans.” P.K. has been maurading all over the place- from the Bellagio to Beverly Hills- plus it just sounds like a very impressive title.

GW has slowed the rate of tuition increases in recent years. During the 1990s and early 2000s, the costs skyrocketed, which is why they were dubbed most expensive. I’m glad to see the newer administrations have made an effort to keep tuition lower because it was astronomical (in comparison to other schools at the time) when I went there in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This article is from 2012 so it doesn’t reflect the current tuition rates, but it explains a bit more of the history of tuition costs at the school: https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/campus-overload/post/george-washington-university-is-actually-not-the-most-expensive-school-in-the-country/2012/11/15/c9befee2-2f28-11e2-ac4a-33b8b41fb531_blog.html?utm_term=.7c462153ccb4 I graduated awhile ago and haven’t been around campus recently, but, when I was there, labels were a huge deal and people dressed up for class, partly because some of them were going to internships and jobs after class, but mostly because it was firmly part of the culture. I remember going to my first day of class on a Monday morning in August. It was hot as hell and I was used to the more relaxed culture of my private high school (where I wore a uniform for four years), so I did not dress up for class (hair up, no makeup, shorts and a tee). I couldn’t believe how many girls showed up with hair perfectly straightened, a full face of makeup, heels, and designers head-to-toe. It actually overwhelmed me a lot at first. If that culture has relaxed a bit, I’m happy (although maybe Sophia wouldn’t be). But Sophia was dressed exactly how I imagined girls today would on campus.

How much you want to bet he still hasn’t paid back said intern/assistant/maid for the mileage?

This is exactly why we need more Camille. This nickname will do in the interim, but I can’t take it away from Faye. We need Camille to dub her something equally spectacular!

Completely, TexasGal! It’s sorta become just a habitual response at this point. This is very illuminating. Thanks, Giselle. This sounds vaguely familiar- did she say it on the show or somewhere else (like her book)? Like most of the Housewives, I waver on Erika. I liked her at first (so many of them seem promising when they’re shiny and new!), but started to sour on her a bit. But I still don’t wish horrible things for her (that’s really reserved strictly for Dorit right now) so I like the vision you set up for her future.

    S07.E14: Tom vs. Tom

In fairness to the groupie, if a bartender said they wouldn’t make a certain drink and that bartender was Jax (who is bad at making drinks in general), I would not insist because the drink would be shitty anyway. With Jax, I don’t know if anyone should trust him to do more than serve a beer or a glass of wine. Maybe a vodka soda. This all said, I would still happily engage in @Callaphera‘s revenge plan to drive Jax crazy. Just have FI make you the mojito and tell everyone Jax made it.

Did anyone else notice Erika commenting on her broken doorbell to Teddi? And she said something about everything in the house falling apart. Then there was that stilted conversation with Tom earlier in the season about tiles broken around the pool. I fear once Mr. Girardi passes (or leaves her or declares bankruptcy), Erika will be living in that house all Sonja Morgan/Grey Gardens style. Except she will definitely not be as funny or joyful about it all as Lady Morgan. I would die to see Erika duct taping some “pat the puss” shirts up as window coverings.
