Jill & Derick Dullard: Counting On (Donations)

Thank you for mentioning the mismatch. When the patterns on the seams don't line up even on the models in the company's website photographs, it's a red flag. The mustard and black striped shirt was off too. Matching prints at the seams requires more fabric to cut and time to sew carefully. C&L gets this stuff pretty cheaply and marks it up heavily. Buyer beware. Personally, I wouldn't want my name associated with this brand.

    S10.E02: Fit for a Queen

Does anyone really ever want a Marie Antoinette room, especially in a suburban ranch? Well, the homeowner woman seemed to like it, but the husband not so much. He has to sleep there too. That silver leafing looked like it was flaking off. Does the silver tarnish? I'd also worry about that wooden thing on the ceiling hanging over the bed. Frank's room seemed fine, but I didn't get the Beyonce connection.

At least she found a shirt with some mustard stripes to match the famous mustard cardigan.

    Jeremy and Auj Poj

The handleful of people are the ones wearing the April 2nd drawers. Their mentioning the even longer days spent rewriting and editing their book makes me spit coffee. They edit? I had no coffee left when I read about Auj's armpits dripping (she sweats?) on her keyboard as she awaits the launch of this minor masterpiece to the "whole entire world." I think I'll order the Farsi language version for kicks. How did a somewhat interesting TV show about a family of little people end up as two pretentious, idiot know-it-alls with visions of world domination? Excuse me while I go and add a whole bottle of Stress Away to my diffuser.

Well, it's Derick's blog, so it's all about Derick. It's probably always all about Derick, so there's no reason to listen to him. His writing shows a decent display of surface literacy (unlike another celebrity-in-his-own-mind-advice-spewer to the millennials, Jeremy Roloff). I wonder what it's like for Derick to be yoked to SOTDRT graduate Jilly and her calculating parents. God has a wicked sense of humor.

If this is another one of Michelle's favorite dishes, I'd sure like to see the rejects.

Jill wants to be a media influencer and lifestyle expert, and this mess is what she puts out. What a tribute to Michelle too. /s I doubt Jill uses real Ritz crackers anyway. I buy generic food, but have never found a substitute for Ritz brand crackers. However, why bother with good ingredients on this "crowd pleaser"? Three, two, one. It's time for Derick to look up from his law books and post a flaming defense of his poor, persecuted wife.

Christine looks like Sarah Ferguson in that green outfit. Kody looks like the Geico caveman.

I'm 5'1". That would make a nightshirt on me. If I really, really wanted a poly blend floral nightshirt, Primark probably has one for eight dollars. Jill's hotdog story is written in her own voice. In other words, it probably sounds exactly the way she talks when she's not on camera. I wonder how Derick puts up with her yammering about the special events of her day--hotdogs, mustard, spills and such. Not that I really care how Derick feels about any of the consequences resulting from his marriage.

Jill is trying as hard as she can to be relevant. Poor Jill. Her entire upbringing was training to be irrelevant, so we're talking miracles here.

    Jeremy and Auj Poj

That error is egregious and lands in the lead sentence. Also on display are 1) commas outside quotation marks, 2) comma splices, 3) pronouns without antecedents, and 4) pronoun shifts. The last three appear in a single sentence: What happens around the dinner table is powerful, you just might find a shortcut, but we have to be the ones asking and looking for them. [Huh?] Does Jer know or care how sloppy his writing is? Does Auj care? These two are all about appearances, but maybe just clothes, weight, and hair.

I can't imagine Jill has any context to follow what's going on in Derick's classes. Sitting there must be terribly boring. She probably uses the time to update her lifestyle blogs.
  13. Is there a Chick-fil-a in Miami close enough to the ocean to see some water? Me thinks Jillybean is manipulating the TRUTH a bit.

Isn't the Marketplace's "chocolate mess" the one Jim Boob always bragged about getting free for his kids' birthdays?

The photo spread hits all the marks: Derick's back to law school; Derick smiles; Derick plays with Izzy (twice); Sam's "shops" for colorful fruits and vegetables; Sam sneaks a homemade beige cookie; Izzy goes back to (home) school; Jill wears jeans; Cathy's husband (?) smiles for the camera; the kitchen is clean. Any questions, fans?
