I have bought stuff from the line...it is good quality and prices are good, especially with the extra percentage off codes HSN regularly has. Bill is excellent as a host and OAP. I am not really a big fan of Connie Craig-Carroll, but when she and Bill team up it is enjoyable to watch as you can tell they are friends and have good chemistry working together.

    QVC

July 1st...to me it is the start of the hottest part of summer, especially here in my corner of the world where most of spring was cold and miserable. July 1st...to QVC is the end of summer and the start of endless hours of generic gift shows for everyone you come in contact with on a daily basis and capri pants and sandals are replaced with boots, leggings and denim jackets galore. Can’t wait for the first “pumpkin patch” reference. *eyeroll* I am also not a fan of the hard sell on the TSV. This has to be like the 10th or so TSV for this item. I have no interest in purchasing it but if I did, I am going to go out on a limb and say it could be bought elsewhere for a better price. AM Style and Leah is one of the very few shows/hosts I can watch. Leah is looking good these days and her manicure and overall look are always on point. Even made a purchase today, trying the denim from the Laurie Felt line. Her line seems to get pretty good reviews and she does a calm, non-frantic presentation, which is a rare thing on Q these days.

    QVC

Not a fan of her, she acts snobby and like it is beneath her to be at QVC. Isaac has a TSV coming soon, a denim jacket (how original!) so we will get a full day of her, ugh!

Shopping Channel Hosts: Sales Prevention Team

Sharon looks awful here...bad mix of patterns, that top looks like it could be lingerie and the shoes...awful. Strappy heel sandals and camo joggers are a bad combo. Sharon is a good sport though, she is always upbeat during Logo shows and wears the items for sale. I don’t think she is faking the enthusiasm and if she is, she is doing a good job of it. I have lots of Logo tops, it is the only thing I buy from QVC anymore. Yes the prices are high, but I don’t mind as it keeps me from having to go to plus size departments in places like Macy’s or Kohl’s where I find the clothes to be frumpy and drab compared to the regular womens section. Despite the fact I watch and purchase Logo regularly, I have some issues with it. It is getting way to pricey and her designs are becoming slate. Saw a top that piqued my interest in a recent show, thought about it and realized I already had two similar tops. I like her prints (I don’t do layers or pattern mixing) and have several I wear often but I don’t need more with lace or whacked out hemlines, which is what she seems to include on most tops now.

Small Talk: Take A Break From Shop(ping) Talk

It is “The Batchelorette”. They are filming a hometown date with one of the remaining guys. He moved away as did he parents, but they decided to do the hometown date here anyway. Which means the only two things they will probably show is them eating chicken wings and visiting Niagara Falls! At least most of the snow is melted so maybe when it airs the weather jokes will be kept to a minimum.

I second this sentiment. Nice to see the kind words and compassion shared on this thread as, in my opinion,it is becoming scarce these days especially in the world of social media and politics. Gray and gloomy for like the 17th day in a row here. Hopefully tomorrow’s predicted snow is it. I do see 60 degrees and sunshine in the extended forecast..but I will believe it when I see it. A well known reality tv show is in town filming right now and of course it has to be terrible weather instead of sunny and warm. I am not a fan of the show, but I might tune in as any time there is even the slightest connection to this area, the local media goes nuts over it.

    QVC

I still can’t believe the Karadashians sold their stuff on QVC. I don’t remember what their Q line was like but the stuff they did for Sears was tacky and really overpriced. The worst D-list celebrity ever to appear on a shopping channel in my opinion is Snooki from Jersey Shore who was on HSN selling a replica of her stuffed animal along with other assorted junk she threw her name on.

Beyonce is sooo ridculously overhyped and overexposed...I am not a fan. I don’t watch Wendy’s show but every few days or so she seems to have a beef with someone or say something outrageous that the entertainment blogs pick up on. I have seen some of her HSN appearances and to me, she acts like appearing there is beneath her. She is just another in the long line of reality show hasbeens and D-list celebs slapping their name on merchandise they didn’t have any hand in designing. More like they picked it out of a catalouge. Couldn’t tell you the last time we had a sunny day here. April has been very gray, cold (like 20 degrees below normal) and miserable. Saturday’s ice storm wasn’t as bad as predicted...was some freezing rain, mostly sleet. Snow/rain mix coming down at the moment..with more snow and temps in the 30’s for the week. This is by far the worst spring I can remember here and no springlike weather is in the extended forcast either. Not sure if this the case elsewhere where the weather is bad, but here in my area...everyone is grumpy no matter where you go. My office was so quiet today, anywhere I have gone lately...the store, coffee run, out to eat, everyone is downcast and complaining. Even during our lake effect events in the winter, it is not as bad as it feels now.
  9. The Office...it should have ended when Michael Scott left. The Robert California era was terrible and Andy, Dwight and even Jim and Pam were more annoying than fun to watch, at least for me, as the series neared its end.

    QVC

I have a raging sweet tooth for almost anything...and these apples do not appeal to me in the least. I also think they are overpriced for what you get, like almost all of QVC’s food items. Today’s TSV is all kinds of awful. Another poor attempt by QVC to hop on a trend. Speaking of trends, can bell sleeves go away now?! Not a fan of the look at all and QVC seems to be going overboard with this trend right along with the non-stop parade of cold shoulder tops.

Joan Boyce seems like a nice lady and she is fun to watch...always upbeat and enthsiastic. But I just don’t get her line, the jewelry looks so gaudy and fake. Also looks like it cheaply and poorly made.

Shawn Killinger: The Good, The Bad, The Skunky

Just my opinion...Shawn doesn’t care about Amy because she isn’t from Malibu or Hollywood and she doesn’t have a swanky place in the Hamptons that could lead to a possible invite. Unless an OAP has some connection to NY/Manhattan, California or London, Shawn doesn’t give a shit.

If you are planning on seeing Niagara Falls, the Canadian side of the Falls is far nicer. The NY side of the falls is kinda sketcky and there isn’t much outside of a casino and outlet mall. I live in the Buffalo metro area. The Canalside area of downtown is really nice, especially in the summer as it is right on the lake. The Darwin Martin house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is also a pretty big attraction. The weather really sucks right now ( today’s snowfall put us over 100 inches for the season!) but summer is really nice in these parts. The same lakes that cause all the snow in winter keeps it cooler in summer. We only get 90 degree days once or twice per summer.. Unfortunately, still very much winter here right now and looks like it will the case for awhile despite what the calendar says.

This sounds weird but one of the first signs of spring here is when the Dairy Queen and other little mom and pop hot dog/ice cream stands open. Drove by the Dairy Queen not far from the other day and it has indeed opened for the season! Mother Nature must not like that as we are on the verge of a huge snowstorm here, most likely going to get a foot or more. It is a real bummer since the last few weeks have been mild and snow free. Even most of the large snow piles mostly melted...now they will be back and even bigger...ugh! The local media here is nearly having a orgasm over this storm...we have some of the worst weather and news people here, I try to avoid them as much as possible. This pending storm on top of ongoing work issues along with many other things has really spiked my anxiety. I have been struggling for awhile but it has worsened over the past few months. Wishing healing thoughts to those here who are also dealing with it.

    QVC

What a ridiculous outfit! Not sure what is going on with the legs of those jeans either...the leg opening looks weird..I guess they are supposed to be cutoffs? A few silver items piqued my interest...like a nice, decently priced byzantine gemstone ring..not sure I will bite though. I am over QVC and their stale programming, high prices and shipping and the annoying, childish behavior from certain hosts and OAP’s.
