    TCM: The Greatest Movie Channel

Not sure whether that was a Whoosh, or maybe a Nudge Nudge Wink Wink, but your prayers have been answered. Or maybe you saw a trailer and your horrified mind blocked it out? ☺️ Seven percent on RottenTomatoes- https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_emoji_movie
  2. Now it seems to be working, some time last night after I posted the Follow Topics links brought up what I've been looking for. Fingers crossed...
  3. I'm having the same problem. Any time I click on the Follows - Manage Topic Follows in the dropdown menu on the upper right corner, I get: "Something went wrong. Please try again. Error code: EX1052" Several days before the old forum was shut down and changed I had ALL the shows AND topics I wanted to follow chosen and made sure every single one had been selected to Follow with no notification. I've cleared my cache (which I do at least once a day) and cookies. Under the old software each section, Shows and Topics, had between 3 and 4 pages of Saved items. Now I'm down to only 24 shows on the Forums - Manage Followed Content page (several of which I remember deleting a while back) but 34 shows on the My Homepage - your TV shows page, and can't access my Saved Topics at all, I keep getting that Error message no matter which button or menu I click, including the Manage Topic Follows link in the dropdown menu. Is there actually a fix for this that I missed somewhere? This is a complete mess for me now.

The Shows We Hate & The Reasons We Hate Them

I watched the same episode a few days ago. When I saw those ridiculous risers all I could think of was the time I spent 8 weeks in a cast and on crutches with a broken ankle and could barely manage the stairs to my 3rd-floor condo. What happens if one of the owners is injured, or has surgery requiring crutches or a wheelchair? What happens when it's monsoon season and you're trying to get a week's worth of groceries inside the house without everything getting drenched? What happens, as it apparently already happened to the homeowners, when every 4-, 6-, 8-, 100-, and NO-legged critter within 20 miles figures out that this structure is a source of food, water and shade and decides to move in? Stepping on a scorpion or rattler at 3AM when you're using the bathroom is NOT my idea of a good time. And can you imagine the paramedics answering the 911 call trying to get a stretcher with you strapped on it and every nerve on fire from the venom of whatever you stepped on out to the ambulance over those risers, or even out through one of the sliding doors and down that path to get onto the road? Anyone crazy enough to build a house like that without thinking of the kind of problems Murphy's Law has proven over and over again can happen has bricks for brains. And any architect who would design and build it has the same, and serious ego problems as well. Other than that, I'm enjoying the series, although so far there are only one or two houses that I'd enjoy living in. And I don't care if they affect the view, the idea of windows that open but don't have screens is incomprehensible - don't any of those countries have mosquitoes? Flies? Wasps?

OMG, you nailed it! Even the round little "chin within a chin" is exactly the same! And they've both been McTooled.

Small Talk: Take A Break From Shop(ping) Talk

Brian Krebs of the highly-recommended https://Krebsonsecurity.com site reports that this isn't as enormous a problem as it looks. "773M Password ‘Megabreach’ is Years Old "My inbox and Twitter messages positively lit up today with people forwarding stories from Wired and other publications about a supposedly new trove of nearly 773 million unique email addresses and 21 million unique passwords that were posted to a hacking forum. A story in The Guardian breathlessly dubbed it “the largest collection ever of breached data found.” But in an interview with the apparent seller, KrebsOnSecurity learned that it is not even close to the largest gathering of stolen data, and that it is at least two to three years old..." "...It was popularized several years ago by Russian hackers on various Dark Web forums,” he said. “Because the data is gathered from a number of breaches, typically older data, it does not present a direct danger to the general user community. Its sheer volume is impressive, yet, by account of many hackers the data is not greatly useful.” https://krebsonsecurity.com/2019/01/773m-password-megabreach-is-years-old/#more-46290 Not to say that it's not a problem, but it's been a problem for a while and isn't nearly as bad as many of the other security breaches we've been through. I DO strongly suggest that everyone read through the entire article and follow Brian's advice on setting up strong passwords. And any time your inbox or social media is flooded with dire warnings about security breaches or death-dealing viruses or alien invasions, ALWAYS check out Snopes.com or, for computer security issues, https://Krebsonsecurity.com before taking any drastic steps. If you're serious about computer, smartphone or smart home security, subscribe to Brian's newsletter on his website.

    Product Reviews: After Sales

Since QVC has put the K46611 Cook's Essentials 3.4 quart digital Air Fryer that was a TSV a year ago on clearance, I just wanted to post a Heads Up. If anyone's thinking of buying it - DON'T! Ours just died today after probably less than a dozen uses. Read the reviews for it using the "Ratings - Low to High" selection from the drop-down menu. A LOT of buyers have had exactly the same problem and the Q hasn't lifted a finger to make things right. Anybody in the market for a bright red boat anchor?

Small Talk: Take A Break From Shop(ping) Talk

A bit late, but raising my hand. As for the "why didn't she report it?" BS - what good would it do? The cops would ask if you had evidence or witnesses (yeah, right!), your parents would give you the Mother Of All Lectures and then ground you for 6 months, if it was at a party the parents who owned the house would be furious with you especially if liquor was involved, and you'd be the number One topic of conversation at your high school, including whispers, sniggers and nasty jokes by most of the boys) for the rest of the year. Not to mention all the creeps that just don't believe you or that you "must have been asking for it", or the old familiar classic "Boys will be boys..." The more things change, the more they remain the same.

All Episodes Talk: TRMS 2018 Season

The bank's website makes an interesting read, especially their executive leadership page. https://www.thefederalsavingsbank.com/about/leadership The Steve Calk CEO bio should be saved for posterity, especially this bit of irony (posted of course before the recent events): "...In the 2016/2017 election Mr. Calk served as a Senior Economic Advisor to the President Elect of the United States. In 2017 Mr. Calk was named EY Entrepreneur of the Year finalist, Midwest division. "He is regularly featured in print and on air national news programs including CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, Fox Business News, CNBC Squawk Box, CBS evening news, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Reuters, Money, Crain’s Chicago Business, the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun Times..." "I do not think that means what you think it means".

AMEN to the commercial-hate! I can't hit the Mute button fast enough either. And I grew up listening to Dylan. But his voice in that particular song drives me right up the wall.
