Has Jazz changed her gender legally? The reason I ask is that she was mentioning all the things she gets/has to do at 18, I was wondering if she has to register with Selective Service?

I really hate that she ate at Moose's Tooth and I miss that place so much. She better not mention having a Kaladi Latte, that would really get me. Think I am heading up to AK in August, I miss all this. I will hike Winner Creek just because.

A Place For Questions & Educational Links

Thank you so much. I have no children of my own and am very close to each and every one of my ten nieces and nephews. I will nominate his same aged cousin, John (Sr High school) for best cousin ever, John's GF is good friends with the nephew in question and the cousins are close but different schools. John's GF told him what was going on and John wanted to support him. John stopped by the house to take him out for burgers but the nephew in question wasn't home John came back around 10pm and took him for ice cream. I don't know what was discussed but I know John was sympathetic and supportive and left my nephew in good spirits. I am so very proud of my nephews. I do love the fact that his older 20 year old brother comment when his mom told him about the nephew in question's partner. The 20 year old shrugged his shoulder and said "he seems nice enough, if he likes him he likes him"....bragging on my good kids.

A Place For Questions & Educational Links

Question for anyone that can give me some insight, My nephew (18yo) just let me know that the person he is now in a relationship with is a transgender male. It is confusing to me in that he wears "female" style clothing, the teenage girl uniform of leggings, Ugg boots and oversized sweatshirts. He close crops his hair and has a female voice. I know at this point he has a lot to figure out so I get that, I am getting better with pronouns too. My nephew is confused and asked me if I thought he (the nephew) was gay and I said only he really know, I asked him if he has ever had any attraction for another boy and he said no. I told him I think he is pan sexual and loved the person before he worries about gender and that I thought it was a pretty amazing thing. Did I tell him the correct thing? He is close with parents and they are very accepting but seems to tell me all his inner stuff. We live in an area where it really isn't a big deal either. I just want both of them to have amazing lives and live genuine lives.

There are no "Tram People" present, it's use at your own risk. They figure people have common sense. I hate going across on my own, at 180 pounds it leans if there is just one person. Not saying there aren't editing monkeys but you can pull someone across from either side, in either direction. It's a loop from one side to the other.

Why do they think this is all bigger than an 8K? I cannot do a 5K but what she just did I can do and have done, repelled other places but I know I could do what she just did.

This is so absolutely absurd. What is the point? She is not confident or comfortable or inspiring! She is ridiculous and should be embarrassed. You would think that the skiing and Hawaii and all her other fiascos would teach her something.

I think from the trailhead to the end is 3 miles. The first 2+ miles are essentially flat wide developed trail through a beautiful rain forest that she hurried past. The last less than a mile is switchbacks and honestly not that steep. I can't do an 8K but Winner Creek Trail is a stroll. I have walked it in a couple hours with a three year old. It is described as an easy trail.
  10. Probably a Fat Tire bike. Super popular in Alaska for riding trails in the snow. Also capable of not exploding under 400lbs of body weight.
  11. So here is my WAG, they did Lower Winner Creek which is less than 3 miles one way if you turn around at The Hand tram so if you do that round trip that ~5 miles. From some point along the Alyeska Highway the Winner creek trailhead is ~2.5 miles, so again 5 miles round trip. They repelled somewhere around the hand tram at The Gorge (another guess). Here is a description of Lower Winner creek Trail, http://www.alaska.org/detail/winner-creek-trail . I have walked that trail often and it is not challenging at all. All this is a guess from local knowledge and her description. They also may have use the shuttle for some of the returns, who knows.
  12. Who's going to watch the cats?
  13. ...and that is why I only get in my own hot tub, can you imagine the poor people that stayed after she left. pretty sure they don't change that water for each guest.
  14. Seems like they just hang around Girdwood and Seward and maybe leave on a cruise. No not really seeing much of the state.
  15. She is biking on the flattest paved bike trail ever and then hiking on a flat wide path through the woods with one small uphill of switch backs and I have no clue what cliff she is jumping off of. She is a fool. There are bears and moose in Whittier maybe she can find one and yes she just confirmed she went across the hand tram on The Winner Creek Trail ...I hope alone I think it is rated for 2 normal size people. I want Todd to calm down about the highway too, people like him kill people every summer on that highway.
