RealitySteve has been speaking to her "ex", Chase. He says it's true.

JD and Abbie: Captured Before the Rapture

I think if JD had wanted to be married and screwing his brains out at 19, he would have. I think he could have had his pick of attractive and appropriate fundie girls to start breeding with. 10 years ago, the Duggars were golden.....cash cows for TLC, huge show audiences and while viewed as very different by most mainstream folks, untainted by incestual conduct within the ranks and no married-in freaks (i.e. Deertick) spouting ignorant and vicious crap about other kids on their network. I also think JD wanted to do things, like flying, being a constable, etc. And I think he found his woman when he wanted to find her. And she appears to be a good choice if the words & photos hold true. Spending your teen years/early 20's mired in some candy-coated, hearts & flowers Hallmark channel version of "romance" is very poor preparation for a real, authentic marriage. To my eyes, JD seems to be the only one who's gotten it right so far. But they may end up miserable like half the marriages out there, so there's no telling.

Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody

Agreed. She is still a teen, so of course the more dramatic, the better. And it seems her main exposure to this family has all been media influenced, televised and in the popular press. She definitely seems to have absorbed more of their " C-list celebrity culture" than say Austin or Kendra.

Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody

First thing I thought of, truthfully. Not very charitable, but broadcasting that kind of pain a teen is going through on social media just makes me stabby.

Jill & Derick Dullard: Counting On (Donations)

The cuffs could be fixed by simply moving the button over a tad. Jana could do that in about 5 minutes. Jill? Never. More likely Amy only ordered 3 shirts, 1 each of small, medium & large. The one Jill is wearing looks a size too large. And I don't think that's a crinkle gauze fabric with cotton in it, looks like a pure poly. But the kind you cannot get wrinkles out of, no matter how much steam you use. I think we've all had those poly shower curtains that NOTHING could get the creases out of.

Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody

My dad always said that you don't ask if a woman is pregnant unless you can actually see the baby crowning.

Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody

They were married on June 30th. If they conceived then, and announced at Michelle's birthday on September 13, that would be almost 10 weeks. Not unheard of to let people know then. Especially if you got knocked up so quickly. But yeah, they were in too much of a hurry to get into the "Us too" club.

Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody

Yes, I know it's common. And I still think it's ridiculous. Common and correct are two very different things. No man can possibly understand what it is to carry a child, whether to term or not. No matter how sympathetic, empathetic, feeling and considerate he is, he will never experience that and truly understand it. The word "irregardless" didn't exist as a legitimate word until enough people used it enough to make it common. But to me, it will never be correct, regardless of who says otherwise. 😉 YMMV.

Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody

My only objection is that Josiah said "WE"miscarried. No, Lauren did. Yes, it was your baby also, but YOU were not gestating it, Si. The uterus it grows in is the only one that is now empty. You were expecting to be a father. You were anticipating your child. But you were not pregnant. The women in that clan can't even have that to themselves, it has to be all about the guy too. Idiot.

    The Bachelorette in the Media

I think JJ was the one who had a daughter, lived in his parent's basement & confessed to cheating on his wife when she was pregnant. He was pretty crude, I seem to remember.

Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp

I went to summer camp in Texas. We had shotguns, bows & arrows, axes for chopping wood, machete's for setting up camp and any number of horrifyingly deadly weapons at hand. Ages ranged from 8 to 17. And there were no parents there, just counselors. They were trained how to use the items safely, because it was their job. Something tells me the parents that freak out about a few hand tools, sleeping bags and no Wi-Fi probably don't go there anyway.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but that was a decent post for Jill. A recipe tied to actual people, places and activities. Credit and a link to the original recipe, with fairly concise instructions and a few additional tips. No made up "sweet friends" to pawn off the crap on. A clear and well composed photo. Good job, Jill. And I actually mean that.

Um, the dude in the background with the bowler hat & bow tie? WTF? Did the gift shop run out of John Deere ball caps & camo t-shirts?

The Duggalos: Jinger and the Holy Goalie

What Jeremy wrote about his dad sounded very heartfelt. I can't think of a single actual Duggar male or other adjacent that could come close to expressing that kind of admiration for a parent. My dad's been gone almost 3 years, and I'd do anything to be able to express to him how much I admired & loved him. Posts like that really illustrate to me the emotional maturity and educational gaps between Baaaaabe and his wife's family.

The Lonely Js Club: Jana, Jedidiah, Jeremiah and Jason

Jana, as an adult can go drive somewhere to get privacy. She could get it in the ladies room of Chik-fil-A if she needed to. The littles only have places in & around the TTH to find privacy. But as Jill pointed out back then, there are closets, other rooms and outside areas. I simply cannot believe that not a single person living in that house EVER has privacy of any kind, at any time, regardless of their age. There are only 11 people in that house now, including Michelle, Jim Bob and Tyler. There are places for privacy. But most of them were raised without much, so they don't really get it until they marry. I don't buy them all being watched all the time. However, I think Jana's got exactly the deal she wants. And I think she can pretty much do what she pleases. I think her parents trust her completely. YMMV.
