Think I'd have to throw in Meredith Vieira into third place between Joy and Whoopi. I've always enjoyed her, and miss her on this show. When Gov. Newsom mentioned his "rock star wife", I was cringing, waiting for Joy to make a joke about his first wife - Kimberly Guilfoyle, current squeeze of Donnie tRump, Jr. I'm surprised, but glad, that she didn't go there.

Time for a new photo of Nutmeg. This one is about 50 lbs. ago. She's actually at the point where she's beginning to waddle, rather than walk, out onto the stage. Those red pants the other day did her no favors at all. She needs to either find another style if she wants to wear pants, or ditch them entirely. LOL - back in the days when I carried an extra pound or twenty, one of my former doctors described me in his notes as "well nourished". I still rock between wondering if that was either a positive or negative.

    The Jeopardy! All-Star Games

Having been raised in New England, this was a phrase with which I was very familiar. Perhaps it's more generational, rather than regional. Thank you for the greeting, @Saber5055! Health issues kept me away for a bit, but I'm on the mend and re-engaging.

    The Jeopardy! All-Star Games

Oddly enough, I randomly came across this website https://fivethirtyeight.com/ today via a political forum, and thought of Matt's wager, wondering if there was a connection. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FiveThirtyEight

Oh thank heavens ABC's cut back to The View! I wouldn't have wanted to miss Nutmeg's new hair-do for anything!!

This has been a part of General Hospital's current Alzheimers storyline. Sonny's father Mike, who has Alzheimers, has been attending a day program and has fallen in love with one of the married residents (who returns his affections). I was surprised that GH has handled that particular plot point in such a nuanced way. This is also, sadly, the very real life story of former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor and her husband John. When she would visit him in his care facility, he would be beaming over his new love. As recounted by their son, "He was like a teenager in love," the younger Mr O'Connor told the Phoenix television station KPNX. "For Mom to visit when he's happy - with his girlfriend, sitting on the porch-swing holding hands - Mom was thrilled." He also talked about the partnership his mother has lost: "They were husband and wife, lovers, best friends, you know, and that's gone." But he emphasised her pleasure as her husband became happier and more outgoing after initially sinking into depression." https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1576716/Judge-lost-husband-to-Alzheimers-and-love.html ...and now Sandra Day O'Connor is slowly losing her own battle against dementia and has withdrawn from public life at the age of 88.

She was probably wondering why they didn't have a U.S. flag on their wall. Doesn't everyone?

Oops - I haven't yet watched today's show and took the comment I quoted about Raw Story being her favorite as gospel. Thanks for the correction! (But my comments about RS's materials remain intact.)

Get rid of the Preggo Chair entirely, which would mean getting rid of one host. Since NutMeg is having more difficulty by the day climbing up onto her stool, I suggest she be the one to disappear. It figures Raw Story would be her favorite site. All RS does is gather, compile, reorganize, and <dare I say> plagiarize articles that have already appeared elsewhere in an attempt to make them look like original writings. Hmmm...doesn't someone else in Nutmeg's family do something very similar?
