Right? And not for nothing, they weren’t worried about what Erica was passing on? The girl didn’t know she was having twins or that you couldn’t get pregnant from anal sex.

I admired the show for not going the easy route for pregnancy with Monica and Chandler and that they decided on adoption, but all the details were so severely bungled and I hated how every step was a bad punchline. Yes, it’s a sitcom, but...be better? The one where they meet the other couple that did adoption and they reveal that to their unknowing son, the one where they act like crazies I’d never give a kid to in front of the social worker, the one where they outright lied to the pregnant woman and the adoption agency but get the kid anyway bc Chandler gave a little speech as if they’d been trying to have a kid more than the other not lying couples on the waiting list, the one where they didn’t know the baby was actually twins even though medical reports would’ve been shared and confirmed that over and over? Frankly, the doctor and reverend deserved a more compelling speech to get passed over for these dolts.

The rerun of The One in Barbados is playing right now. The way they connected Ross/Charlie in intelligence was positive, because I always felt Ross needed a woman he couldn’t feel so superior to and who could easily cut him down in ways he couldn’t fight back on(The way Ross always denigrated Rachel’s career choice was horrible, even if ”Jurassic Parka” was clever). But the way they connected Joey/Rachel in stupidity still pisses me off, because Rachel was portrayed as spoiled and sheltered, sure, but she was never stupid and childish. It is a huge reason I was never in favor of that pairing. Rachel shouldn’t be talked down to for a relationship, but she also shouldn’t have to be dumbed down.

    Below Deck in the Media

Judging by social media, Kate and Captain Lee are in Asia. No definites on anyone else just yet, but so far, it doesn’t appear that Josiah is heading that way, which leaves me a little bit crushed 😕

I don’t think she spoke to Caroline, but she spoke to *someone*, because the way she’s currently acting is too much of a complete 180, imo. It now feels like she was following a “Take down Kate” script and when it ran its course(or production told her to back off after Kate went to the Captain), she can now act like the normal person she is. Which is nice and so refreshing to see the interior all get along and wish it had been that way from the start.

    Still so much denial.

I think we’ve seen what real life is for Caroline at this point, so I’m thinking no employer would’ve ever kept her on as long as they did until she was refusing to depart the boat after quitting. I don’t think applying “real world” standards in these scenarios is very productive.

Dirty John in the Media: Beyond the LA Times

She was severely traumatized and her entire life and goals changed because of it. She went through mountains of therapy to get to this point of being able to distance herself and engage in the story in a more practical manner. She can create an entire instagram about this story and i’ll give her several gold stars for it. She survived and she found a way to not have this completely destroy her life. Nothing slimy about Terra whatsoever, imo.

The ratings this season have been great, the responses to Kate and Kate/Josiah have also been great. The majority enjoys Kate and she makes for good TV and good publicity, hence Bravo and co. would want to keep her around. Kate wanting off the show would be the only reason they’d be circulating for a new chief stew, not because Kate walked slowly up the stairs lol.

And didn’t she make some remark on Twitter that (paraphrasing)it was her skill that kept her from what happened with Ashton and the line? Right after the episode aired? Classy woman.

    S06.E13: I Said I Got It!

...but aren’t you doing just that by dismissing it as “touristy silliness”? You might think that, others feel differently, and unless we are polling the Tahitian, there’s no real way to know how they felt about the show.

Judging by her attitude off the show, I think it’s safe to say this is Rhylee’s personality. While i do believe in producer shenanigans, I don’t believe they’re as prevalent as some might think. More often than not, I think just casting people with obvious issues and agendas is all they really need to do.

Thank you for putting this to words, because I was cringing at the performance, but I found I couldn’t verbalize exactly why it was so offensive.
