  1. After the end of Jill Bauer's segment with Josie Maran tonight (8 PM) Jill announced that Shawn would be on for the next 4 hours. There was a pause - Jill and Josie Maran were still on camera, and Jill says something to the effect that they were still on. Then the camera goes to Shawn. No acknowledgement at all to Jill, but that's not surprising. Just when I was going to change the channel, Shawn is presenting the TSV, a pair of Berkshire velvet throws. She's running through the colors, and when she gets to the set in Light Gray/Dark Gray, she said (and I quote): "This is a nice color for men, women, whoever." Whoever? Really? She just couldn't stop after "women"? Nothing like spreading hate during the holidays - at least that was my interpretation. It will be a happy day when she is no longer on QVC. Hopefully sooner than later.
  2. Loved this! @Bronx Babe - Thanks so much for posting! There's a local pizzeria I go to - they always have The Hallmark Channel on, and this SNL spoof is spot on!
  3. Aka Jill's "baby sister" - about a year ago, the two were presenting a product together and Jill mentioned about the two passing as sisters. Diana being the younger one, of course :)

Just purchased the IT Cosmetics TSV, as I regularly use four of the products (Bye Bye Undereye Concealer, Celebration Foundation, CIAC Moisturizer, Superhero Mascara). As for the other two products, I'm looking forward to trying the lip serum as well as the double-ended face brush. For approx. $10 more than the actual price of the moisturizer, you get 5 other products, all full-sized. Plus, if you're like me and shop on QVC via Ebates, there's 5% cashback on all QVC purchases today. And free shipping to boot - "IT" was definitely an offer I couldn't refuse!
  5. "Greenwich" earrings? I happen to live just a few miles from Greenwich, CT and that is definitely not a look associated with that town! Perhaps Greenwich Village in NYC - nah, even the hipsters would cringe. And Ms. Apfel rocks it SO much better! Go Iris!

@Rdh1314 - Sorry to hear about your experience with this Tatcha product. If you are interested in something similar, AmorePacific Treatment Enzyme Peel may be worth a try. This is the exfoliator that I use, and I've been very happy with the results, and I have sensitive/combo skin. A few of their products used to be sold on QVC, but this specific product is available at Sephora; the standard size (2.5 oz.) is $60 but there is a smaller size (0.7 oz.) for $22. What's great about this product is when you pour it onto your hand, just the right amount of powder pours out. Mix with a little water and it turns into a gentle foam, with no grittiness. I use this on my face, neck and upper chest. Massage it for no more than 45 seconds, avoiding the eye area. The reason for the short time period is although it turns into a gentle foam, it is very effective. Edited to add: Just saw the post from @SnowDazed about Dermalogica Microfoliant, and that sounds like a good alternative as well. However, the Dermalogica product contains Salicylic Acid; any products containing Salicylic Acid aka Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) should be avoided if you are allergic to aspirin (like me). But then again, people who have allergies to aspirin are of a very small percentage.

Why thank you so much, @Rdh1314! And you are very welcome! Hope you love it as well! Thanks so much, @Thumper! And I agree about the lotions - the ironic part is I prefer using fragranced lotions over EDT/EDP as the lotion moisturizes as well. And thank you too, @AnnaCody! Need to try the soap bars too - judging from all the great reviews, they're worth a try!

Purchased the Beekman 1802 Vanilla Absolute Goat Milk Body Wash & Lotion Duo when it was last sold on Evine, right before the Beekman Boys went to HSN a few months back. From time to time, I would read about how this Vanilla fragrance was not as sweet and cloying as other similar types, as this one had amber and sandalwood. After receiving the duo, I tried both and was pleasantly surprised. This was truly the Vanilla fragrance I was looking for: soft, creamy, with the gentle warmth of the amber and sandalwood. Sensual and refreshing at the same time; a truly adult Vanilla fragrance, IMO. It also passed the ultimate test for me by not giving me a headache. And very long lasting; I would smell my arms from time to time during the course of the day and still smell the scent. Fragrance notes: Madagascar Vanilla, Amber, Sandalwood. It is noted on the Beekman 1802 site that the Madagascar Vanilla is the real deal, not an artificial scent. Looking forward to purchasing the Vanilla Absolute line in the future on HSN. Although I am very happy with the Beekman 1802 products, I thought I would check out similar Vanilla fragrances. So here’s my take on Philosophy Fresh Cream, and Philosophy Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere. After reading many wonderful (and not-so-wonderful) reviews online for both, I decided to sample them. Went to my local ULTA a few weeks ago, which has some of the same Philosophy products sold on QVC. Tried the tester of the Fresh Cream Body Lotion on the inside of both forearms. As soon as I applied it, the sweet vanilla smell was overwhelming. Keeping the product on my arms for over an hour, the fragrance softened, but just a little. Overall, it was too sweet for my liking. Then last week I went back and tried the tester of the Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere Body Lotion, the one that is apparently warmer and less sweet scent-wise. Applied the same way as I did with the Fresh Cream. Well, the Warm Cashmere version was indeed warm in scent, but still very sweet. To me, it smelled like a strong combination of vanilla and cedar, not a good pairing at all. Left it on for an hour, but by that time I started having a headache. Washed my arms, then had to take a couple of Tylenols. Obviously not a good choice for me to purchase as well. Perhaps it was a good thing I tried the body lotions, as I can’t imagine how I would’ve reacted to the EDT versions. YMMV Philosophy Fresh Cream fragrance notes: Heliotrope, Vanilla, Whipped Cream, Macadamia Nut. Philosophy Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere fragrance notes: Coconut, Cashmere wood, Vanilla bean, Sandalwood, Skin musk.
  9. Too funny - and he's actually a big fan of the "Life Is Good" line. There are a number of pictures of him wearing these shirts on his QVC Facebook and Instagram pages, but they appear to be taken when he's away from the studio. I happened to watch this presentation over the weekend, and David said to the founders of the line that he's been a fan for nearly 20 years. That makes sense, as I first saw this line when I was on vacation in Newport, RI in the late 1990's. @Booney - May I say that your "Drinking Games" montage is EPIC!
  10. Turned on ITKWD last night to see if anyone got dolled up for Halloween. David wore a black shirt and pants, along with a "David" apron in bright orange. He looked pretty good, if I may say so. But I was really impressed with Stacey - she was made up Calavera-style, wearing tassel earrings and a funky netted hat on her head. She received quite a few compliments on her Facebook page, and replied that Russell, a QVC stylist, created the look. Very tempted to create this look when I go to next year's Halloween Parade in NYC.

Regarding Judith Ripka - there are women who are not meant to have blonde hair. I'm one of them, and so is Ms. Ripka. Her super-bleached tresses make her look washed out. It appears she was a natural brunette and when her hair turned gray, she had it colored brown. The brown hair looked good, and then she started going lighter and lighter. Not so good, IMO. Perhaps she should stop coloring altogether - I think she would look great with silver-white hair.

Whoa Nelly!! Stop the presses! Just turned on HSN to see who was on, and it's none other than Judith Ripka! Selling rings - in Diamonique!! And I must admit although I won't be buying anything, the rings look better on HSN than on QVC. Different lighting and camera angles, perhaps? The QVC/HSN merger is in full swing! Hmmm, what QVC vendor will we see next on HSN? Or vice-versa??

Although I haven't posted on here in some time, I must say that Leah Williams looks FABULOUS!!! It appears she is watching what she is eating, and it definitely shows. And I love her new hairstyle, as it's youthful without screaming "teenybopper" IMO. And can I also say that out of all the female hosts Leah always has the best manicure, hands down (pun well intended). But I'm scratching my head over why there aren't any nail polish shades inspired by her. And yes, I remember there were nail polish shades inspired by another host on the Q - the one with the kindergarten nails. Still scratching my head over that awful idea. But back to Leah - good for her with her new "makeover". She's a truly classy lady and always knows what she is presenting while doing so in a friendly yet professional manner. Can't say the same about some others on the Q...
