Same here. OK, apparently there were texts quite a while back where she said they could go to rehab together, they needed help, etc. However, I think that was more proof of her wanting to establish power over him than a genuine desire to help him. What I found really appalling was her reaching out to his Mom and other family members after the suicide repeatedly offering condolences, etc....stressing she was his girlfriend. Plus, that charity event gave me the creeps....more attention-seeking b.s.

I would be more comfortable with the God references....if they thanked God for giving her the strength/courage to endure her captivity and then escape.

Actually, he also said Jayme was the hero -- that she was the one who had the courage to escape, find help, etc. While he (and his department) did not literally find her....they did spend months, never ceasing their search for her and any evidence. They kept the case in the public eye.

    General Gabbery: DWTS

I suspect James and Giles had totally different reactions to losing in their seasons. Hinch kept his sense of humor about it...while Giles apparently did not.

    General Gabbery: DWTS

Today is James Hinchcliffe's birthday. Just about my all time favorite celeb to appear on DWTS. I thought he and Sharna were a terrific team....and what great performances they created. Comparing Hinch to Sharna's last partner is painful. Neither Hinch nor Bobby had any dance experience at all...but that's where the similarity ends. Hinch loved to learn and spend many REAL hours rehearsing. He never went out on the dance floor unprepared, and brought joy and enthusiasm every night. Happy birthday, Hinch.

Rachel tried to make it sound like the money was needed because they were going to be evicted from their apartment, etc. That was her ploy with the friend who eventually realized she was a liar, etc. anyway. She also conveniently was seen searching by that friend looking on line for jobs and other apartments....to stress how desperate they were. I believe it was for the "grander" wedding however.

I think the two friends just decided that it was time for them to tell the full truth....because they both strongly believed Rachel was involved from the start. And I do believe the one friend who actually saw Dan with with Sam amd was witness to Dan's bringing home the $400 would have been killed if he'd gone back to their apartment. Apparently, after all the years of investigation, the motive was getting money to pay their apartment rent. Awful.

I think you are unfairly lumping all country music fans into one generalized category. I am a staunch fan of that genre...and did not even consider voting for him. Yes, he had a huge block of fans who apparently did not care if he really learned to dance or not...and most did not even watch the show. BTW...Bobby backs (for the most part) music that is much more pop than country. They swallowed his story about working endless hours rehearsing...when, in fact, Sharna was doing the heavy lifting. She flew back and forth to Nashville constantly so that he could stay put in his hometown. Yes, he has an early morning radio show for a couple of hours each week day which he does in Nashville. He is hardly the first celeb who had to continue their work while doing the show....and most did not bitch nearly as much about it.

At least they showed David's actual dance that night on the Jumbotron (during a rain delay)....so the fans in the stands actually understood that it was a DANCE competition. I don't think Bobby's fans cared one iota what the contest was...just that their "hero" won. The fact that most of Bobby's whining and nastiness was minimized during the packages...but emerged on his SM and radio show... proves only that TPTB were trying to create an image that made ABC happy. And, yes, I would guess most of Bobby's fans did not watch a minute of the show...nor will they in the future.

Those two groups might not be torching Sharna.....but they are probably disgusted enough not to watch DWTS again...unles major changes are made.

    S27.E11: Week 9: Finale

Bobby's fans got their wish: he won in spite of being a bad dancer, basically mocked the concept of actually learning, and left far better contestants having wasted their hard work. As many of us have said, we doubt 90% of Bobby's fans had ever watched the show before...and still haven't. Many long-time fans were truly disgusted by the outcome. And so were many casual fans...who enjoyed tuning in for the fun of watching a celeb learn to dance.

I would suspect that 90% of the votes for Bobby were from fans who never watched the show the entire season. Bobby (his individual and show accounts) both tweeted the phone # constantly and instructed them on how to vote online. Every station that broadcasts his show did the same thing. Plus, there were people like Maddie Poppe (who I love) begging their fans to vote for him. And as others have posted, there were people on SM who never watched the show, but said Bobby should win because he promoted women, etc. DWTS was treated like one of those stupid polls stations post for listeners to vote for their favorite pizza, snack, whatever. I doubt many of the huge fanbase even considered for a moment that other contestants worked just as hard (if not harder), respected the show and their pro partners, and were actually FAR BETTER DANCERS. (P.S. If all of Bobby's fans were watching the show each week, wouldn't the ratings have reflected that?)

Sharna wants to continue working on DWTS, and she's a pro in any case. Her job was to try to teach Bobby to dance...and when that became impossible...her job became one of trying to hide his flaws...and let him just act manic to please his fans. Some of her tweets were not helpful in trying to defend Bobby...they occasionally fed the flames instead. She did delete some of those tweets. In addition to Bobby's offensive (to me, at least) words and behavior....I began to suspect ABC was manipulating things because they wanted Bobby's new position as mentor on AI to gain the maximize publicity. They used the CMAs (which they televised) to further push Bobby's agenda. I do believe DWTS has lost much of their original audience over the past several years....people who were more interested in the dancing and the journey of celebs who truly wanted to learn and succeed. That means that celebs with big fan bases can overwhelm the contestants who are often better dancers and top performers. As much as I liked David Ross (and did vote for him for awhile), I realized what could well happen in the future. Someone like Bobby Bones.

I noticed that Indy Cars, James Hinchcliffe, and Becky Dalton (his fiance) all congratulated Sharna on her win...with no mention of Bobby Bones at all....on Twitter and Instagram. Still SMH that she won that stlupid trophy with BB...and not with the partner who brought out the best in her.
