    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

I got Moonlight pretty quickly - pretty much the only best picture winner I can ever remember, thanks to the drama/confusion with it - but I guessed Starlight for the second movie, which I obviously made up. Would never in a million years have come up with Spotlight - I had to google it and then recalled hearing about a movie with that plot, but wouldn't have remembered the title or known that it won best picture.

    S05. E16. The New Normal

Still not used to climate change being a partisan issue...but not sure the show did the issue any favours by having a story that can so easily be factually dismissed as unrealistic. Not a fan of Mike B, but definitely cried over his dog. I thought the actor did a great job in that scene, too.

S04.E15: O Brother, Where Art Thou?

I thought it was a foregone conclusion that Eve would be evil since she was first introduced, and have been waiting for it all this time. Since people seem to be surprised - and I am not very familiar with the comics - did I make that up? I thought James' sister looks nothing like him - it was hard to believe they are siblings. She did seem unnaturally calm so was glad Alex asked about that, but despite the explanation didn't quite seem believable. Continue to be annoyed that Alex doesn't know Kara is Supergirl. That has to end, and quickly. It has already gone on too long.
  4. Not gonna lie - from that angle and in the dim light, I honestly can't tell if that is Reggie or Archie. Initial thought was Archie, but upon closer inspection I'm leaning towards Reggie...but by no means confident in that.

    S03.E15: Chapter Fifty: American Dreams

Unlike Cheryl, who has always been a bit off-kilter, or Polly, who seemed a bit delusional from the get-go, Alice has always been able to put on a front of being a normal, concerned, overprotective mother - so it's easy to default to thinking of that as her 'baseline', rather than an act.

I got both 'twist my arm' and 'Collins' but FJ wasn't coming to me - and I play the saxophone! I just started running through random instruments to see if any fit and completely mentally skipped over the saxophone.

Actually, from that link, it would seem 'Don't lie to Gibbs' is McGee's rule number 1.

Not always - there have been a few examples where the person has died shortly after the episode has aired. Kate Spade is the first one that comes to mind.

Saw a re-run tonight in which Jimmy excitedly mentioned that his dad "is a research ophthalmologist" and would often pontificate about the eye at the dinner table. Seems his father got a bit of retconning to fit in with the episode's storyline (though I had totally forgot about this too, until seeing the rerun tonight).

S03.E14: Chapter Forty-Nine: Fire Walk with Me

I actually figured the kid out pretty early on - as soon as he revealed that he had the same mark as Archie. Cheryl was blatantly emotionally abusive in this episode. It is becoming hard to excuse her as just 'being crazy Cheryl', even on this show. Completely unsurprised that Betty burned her house down - something her and Cheryl now have in common, I suppose.

Thanks! I never quite understood where Faith's phrase came from but have wondered for many years.

Didn't he have a subdural hematoma as a result of a fall? I don't think it was in any way related, and brain surgery doesn't mean they will find a problem that exists elsewhere. I don't think the brain is a common site for metastasis for pancreatic cancer - not to say it couldn't happen, but I think other places in the abdomen/thoracic cavity are more common (e.g. liver, lungs, etc).

FJ just wasn't coming to me today. In my defense, I am drugged up on cold meds 😛 I did notice however that for the Anne Boleyn clue, I didn't actually know the answer (I'm terrible with history) until I noticed her necklace with a 'B' in it. I wonder if that was intentional.

You can react 'sad' as well. Hover your mouse over the grey heart in the bottom right corner of the post and various options will appear.

Just saw this. So sad. Not curable at this stage and median survival is only about 6 months. Just 3% survival rate at 5 years.
