    Should You Chase White Dragon?

I remember this! As I recall, the victim was staked to a lawn with croquet hoops and then pelted with wine via trebuchet. And the same episode also featured somebody being restrained inside a TV and drowned in wine...?! That whole episode was like somebody's weird cheese nightmare. As somebody who lives in the area where 'Midsomer murders' is filmed, I was perhaps irrationally excited to hear it get a shout-out on the pod. In my defence, not a lot really happens in Buckinghamshire...

We know that Wayne did something in 1990 Roland feels he should apologise for. As soon as we got the revelation about Tom's sexuality, I wondered if it was something he learned about Roland's relationship with Tom that he leveraged against him.

Oh, don't get me wrong: i'm utterly bemused by how big this news is when - as you say - there's been all kinds of shenanigans going on in previous years (and I suspect we don't even know the half of what goes on!). This one just seems to have...snowballed. It was on the bloomin' nightly news, for crying out loud.

    S03.E03: The Brainy Bunch

Her guest stint as Dionne Warwick on 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' wasn't reigned in (and was hysterical), but that seemed to work, perhaps because the performances in general on that show are just a bit bigger and broader so it didn't feel out of place like it did here.

So...Seann and Katya's 'snog-gate' is now pretty much a...national scandal, apparently?! I guess the suggestion of an illicit affair is a lot more palatable and exciting than actually having to see two people drunkenly sucking face in an alley. Given that Seann's (now) ex-girlfriend released a statement that suggests emotional abuse on his part, the whole thing has gone from salacious to serious pretty fast...

Yep, I think so - we saw him biting down on his hand and screaming silently at the end of last week.

We discover in this episode that they've also been scanning and monitoring employees too, so i'm assuming that number included them. Maybe...? Because yes, otherwise it seems a ridiculously huge number.

Didn't he just happen to die in the area that was flooded? Likewise, they seem to have retrieved Emily's body from the floodwater too, and she didn't die in the immediate flood zone.

It just makes me laugh that you have people really invested in this show, looking for tiny clues as evidence to build theories, and yet the actual show runner seems to be all 'well, this random idea that completely changes the nature and identity of a character came to me in a cheese-dream'.

I'm glad to know it's not just me who finds those scenes utterly pointless. Talking of pointless: this Vanity Fair interview gives me the impression that Stubbs being a host may have been something come up with the night before they shot the scene...? Welp.

One of the post-show interviews with Lisa Joy certainly suggests as such:

Oh yes. I wonder if they can still get access to that data. Is it gone, or is it part of the host data upload Dolores sent off somewhere? On Lee: given we didn't actually see him die (or see his body), i'm not 100% convinced he's dead. It's not exactly like Westworld to avoid a display of graphic violence if they have an excuse.

No, just one of each I think - Dolores re-built Bernard outside the park once she'd shot him, and we don't know who's in the Hale-bot in the real world now Dolores has her original body back.

I saw this episode on Tuesday at the BFI, so have had plenty of time to think about the myriad ways I found it terrible. THREE (Fucking THREE!) secret host reveals. Plot holes galore. An entire time-frame of material just to hide a twist. Pointless deaths. Endless exposition. Haphazard pacing. What a mess this was.
