AGT The Champions: All Episode Discussion

I thought Susan Boyle sounded shrill tonight. It’s too bad because I’m usually pulling for her. A number of the singers were just meh—Cristina, Kechi, Angelica, Paul. Sand artist for the win!

    S04.E13: Man of Worth

He said that the whisky tasted like home. I never watch without subtitles, lol

    S04.E10: The Deep Heart's Core

He did though. He basically said she lied about the whole thing and was a damn whore and jumping to the worst conclusions possible about *her*. THAT is why she's mad at him, not the misunderstanding. I can't believe everyone's missing that. But he didn't mean those things he said to Bree. He was saying those things to get her mad so she would fight back against him, just like Claire pretended to be Black Jack Randall to help Jamie process and recover from his rape. I thought that Bree understood that when she broke down in his arms, and the anger after the Great Misunderstanding was only about what happened to Roger.

    S04.E10: The Deep Heart's Core

This was a really good episode, and finally the actors playing Ian and Brianna are growing on me. One small annoyance: whenever the family is sitting around the table sharing good times, there is music that plays that sounds like it's right out of an episode of Little House on the Prairie. It's treacly sweet and takes me right out of the episode. I really wish they'd stop using it.

S04.E09: The Birds & The Bees

This is a very simplistic (and inaccurate) understanding of genetics. It is definitely possible for 2 blue-eyed parents to have a child with brown eyes. Here is just one explanation: https://genetics.thetech.org/how-blue-eyed-parents-can-have-brown-eyed-children

    S04.E08: Wilmington

Wowza! That sex scene between Brianna and Roger was VERRA realistic. I don’t know much about the topic, but how do they prevent the actual act while filming? Because that just felt like watching 2 people actually having sex.

Sorry, I haven’t read all the comments, but do I understand this correctly? MM told Joy off for criticizing Trump during a tribute to H.W., but she sees no parallel to her own words criticizing Trump during her eulogy for her own father (for which I was squarely in her corner). Did no one call her out on her hypocrisy?

S06.E08: The Living Room: A 100% True Story

No. I was shocked to see that this room existed, but to know that the bordello couch was real? Oy. This episode hit home with both storylines. My MIL thinks that we want all her “treasures.” When Bev started guilting the kids, I was yelling “stay strong” at the tv. And Barry’s concern for Murray’s health was touching. I loved this episode.

Val and Jenna shippers? What fresh hell is this?

    S27.E11: Week 9: Finale

As I watched Bobby’s craptastic freestyle, all I could think about was how much more enjoyable Juan Pablo would have been in the finals. I think I am more offended by the judges giving that farce 10s than anything else.

    S04.E03: The False Bride

Did it look to anyone else like Claire unzipped her boots when she took them off in the forest? I thought she had been very careful about hiding the zipper in her corset before she returned to the 18th century, so why would she have zippers in her boots? It bothered me the whole rest of the episode.

No Megan, no one expected Republicans to turn into Democrats. We expected that any non voters who are appalled by what’s been going on for the last two-ish years would come out and vote against Republicans. And a lot of them did.

    S01.E06: An Exorcism in Greendale

During the exorcism, when Sabrina called on Lilith to intervene, wouldn't that have had some effect on Ms. Wardwell if she were really Lilith?

That’s a common rebuttal among the poor demonized NRA members. They try to catch people in a web of semantics. No one at the table called it an assault rifle until Megan did. I’m glad no one took her bait.

    S01.E02: The Dark Baptism

I’m confused. By not signing the book, wouldn’t she start to lose her powers as Ambrose described? Is the “Dark Lord” allowing her to keep them in anticipation of her signing the book eventually? And the whole Satan worship/doing his bidding is not what witchcraft is supposed to be about, in my understanding. It’s more of a pagan/natural order thing. Maybe that’s what Sabrina’s parents were trying to create?
