HQ in the Media: They're a pack of hyenas!

Here's the announcement:

Quote

Harley Quinn, the breakout character from the Warner Bros/DC film Suicide Squad that already is set up for a spinoff movie, is getting her own animated TV series. Warner Bros’ upcoming DC-Branded direct-to-consumer digital platform has ordered 26 episodes of half-hour adult animated action-comedy series Harley Quinn, from Powerless executive producers Justin Halpern & Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey via Warner Bros. Animation...

Written and executive produced by Halpern, Schumacker and Lorey, Harley Quinn, based on the DC characters, focuses on Harley Quinn, who finally has broken things off with the Joker once and for all and attempts to make it on her own as the criminal Queenpin of Gotham City.

There is some discussion that they might be approaching Margot Robbie to voice Harley.

Cuoco leads a strong voice cast which include comedic talents such as Lake Bell (In a World…, Wet Hot American Summer series, Childrens Hospital), Alan Tudyk (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Ron Funches (Powerless), JB Smoove (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), Wanda Sykes (Black-ish), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Natalie Morales (Bojack Horseman), Jim Rash (Mike Tyson Mysteries), Diedrich Bader (Veep), Tony Hale (Arrested Development, Veep), Chris Meloni (Happy!, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit).

In addition to Funches, Alan Tudyk and Natalie Morales were on Powerless as well.

Diedrich Bader

Sounded like he's reprising his Batman from The Brave and the Bold.  Dare we conjecture a shared universe, like the original DCAU?

I'm not sure about the voice. I prefer Harley's gangster moll accent to be a bit more over the top. But with good writing I can probably shrug that off. I want to see this show.
