Thank you for passing on the info. Next time you talk with her tell her we are praying for her and her daughter. I cannot imagine the stress she is under.

  3. S08.E08: Thrift Store Date Night

I used to not wash new clothes till I was speaking to a woman who worked in a department store, she was telling me about a lady who had such bad b.o. that they had to spray the dressing room with lysol and hang the dresses outside to air out. I buy most of my clothing on line and the rest hold against me first , then on and off fast.I know in my head there is no difference between trying something on and wearing it but still...

Mindthinkr, I live about an hour from Galveston so when we have a hurricane I just worry about Street flooding or something being blown into my window. My apartment complex keep things clean so not much of a worry there. The main problem is if wind knocks a lot of the power lines down and we are out of electricity for a long time, after Ike we were without electricity for two weeks. I am thinking about getting on of the car battery chargers that you can keep in your glove compartment. I have been told they have outlets to charge your cellphone or tablet. I know it's to late for you to get one now but it may be worth getting one and keep with your hurricane supplies. After the storm, which is stressful enough, being without power afterwards and not being able to keep up with what's happening is hard.

  10. Ok, this is going to sound mean ( may God for give me), but are you charged more if there is more skin to wax? I have never had a bikini wax and at 61I don't plan to get one.

I have lived in the Houston area all my life and I HATE our summers . I am truly comfortable between 75 and 80°, our winter , fall and spring or not that bad because I can always put something on to warm up but for some reason they arrest you if you go outside nude .

I used to carry a small Bible like that in my bag ( I now have a tablet with the Bible on it) and I don't think I have teeny tiny mind.

Yes, I think it makes a great little cupcake. Not homemade but still very good. All you need is a cake mix, not the kind with pudding , just a plain cake mix and a can of pumpkin , not the pumpkin pie one, just plain pumpkin . I will warn you it helps to have a good mixer . Cook normal time and temp.

Well Happyfatchick, Houston is a little far away to drop in with cupcakes so I will send you some virtual ones. What would you like? I normally like to bake from scratch but I found a "recipe" where you mix one chocolate cake mix with a can of pumpkin. It makes a stiff batter but it cooks up into a very moist cupcake I also will use a box of spice cake mix. I also could make you a pound cake. This is the true pound cake...a pound of flour, a pound of sugar, a pound of butter and a pound of eggs. I made it for a church pick nik and one of the ladies ask for the recipe. When I told her what was in it she had a look of fear on her face. She said I thought you cooked healthy I said not for desserts. So what would you like? If I see your unicorn here in Houston I will send him your way.
