I hadn't thought about the possibility of health issues. ☹️ I just posted in the episode thread that I felt he didn't want to work as much anymore. I read that he's in NY only a few days at a time to film his scenes.

Sadly, I've come to the conclusion that it's probably time for this show to end. If they were willing and able to breathe new life into it, I could change my mind. However, I don't believe Tom Selleck is willing to work hard enough anymore. It seems that all he does is walk in and out of scenes, sit, look pensive and then make some less than profound statement. It's not working for me and I've been a Tom Selleck fan forever. I watch for Jamie now but the working relationship between Jamie and Eddie is ruining that for me. It's unbelievable, stupid and a disaster waiting to happen. They've given too much screen time to Erin (who I dislike) by taking away from Danny's storyline. That's made his "case of the week" inconsequential. Bottom line is the writers have ruined what was an excellent show by cramming too much into the hour and not devoting adequate time to any one storyline.
  3. That will probably go down in HW history as the best nickname EVER!
  4. Gina please, please STFU! Emily has her "I smell a fart" face on again. Bravo......please get these two off my TV screen!
  5. Isn't Padma also a judge?
  6. Bravo should have done a google search before selecting the guests' wardrobe.
  7. LOL I love your post! The outfits the guests were wearing certainly didn't rise to the level of being paired with a hat (even one from the dollar store) unless it was a baseball cap.
  8. I didn't mean to imply any of the guests were violating a "dress code." I thought their attire was blah.
  9. It's too early for me to have an opinion on the chefs but not too soon for me to snark on the judges and optics. I did not like the two judges on the ends of the judges' table. The one on the right (next to TC) was incredibly annoying. I could not pay attention to anything he said because of the ridiculous white framed glasses he wore. I couldn't stop staring at them and kept thinking "Why? Bravo gets a giant fail for staging their event guests. Obviously they were trying to imitate Kentucky Derby attendees but they sure weren't dressed for it. I couldn't see their clothes up close but they looked meh. However, we were able to see the hats and they didn't even come close to Kentucky Derby standards. They were tacky and cheap. Maybe they blew their budget on the house for the chefs. That was impressive!

Laura definitely overplayed it. Perhaps she was trying to show that she was experienced. Perhaps she is an annoying know it all. Time will tell. Either way it was a mistake. However, Kate should not have bad mouthed her to the staff but that's Kate. I'm not ready to judge Laura based on a few minutes of her first day on reality TV. In contrast, after quite a few seasons of watching her, I am very comfortable judging Kate as a smug mean girl.

I agree that Laura came on way too strong and like you I hope to see an improvement. However, while Kate's initial reaction may have been positive to the news she was getting a new stew with experience, that may not be relevant. Based on previous seasons, it's been production's SOP that Kate and the third stew have issues. If they continue that theme, Laura is doomed to fail.
  12. S06.E10: Man Overboard

It would be if production allowed it. Apparently, their SOP is Kate being mean to the third stew. If they do it again with Laura, I'll have to reconsider watching next season. It's getting old.
  13. S06.E10: Man Overboard

    So did Kate.
  14. S06.E10: Man Overboard

I agree. That was a mistake. I think Kate had it in for her as soon as she learned Laura had worked as a chief stew. Kate's inflated ego won't allow her to accept that anyone could have experience equal to her own.
